Nice place to take pictures. It is also the centre of town, especially at night where it is all lit up and lively. More interesting is a short walk (10 mins) through one of the gate and you come to the old quarter of town...More

The Golden Horse and Jade Rooster Archways are a symbol of Kunming with a couple of legends as to their origins. Good to visit and explore the surrounding (old) shops and laneways.

Jinma Biji historic site is maybe the most visited tourist attraction in downtown Kunming. There are two Chinese gates in a square, and it is a nice spot to take pictures. Through Sanshi Jie pedestrian street, you can return to Nanping Jie.

Jingma Biji Fang is an iconic area of Kunming, Yunan, a representative of the city state. Personally prefer coming at night, night lights are pretty :)))

An old street with lots of souvenir shops and stands to look around for. One of the must see in Kunming for first timer I guess. A good photo stop location too.
