Short visit to the wall. Would be great to have the time to wander the full circle as there seemed to be a life apart from the city on it.

We had not planned to ride bikes on the wall as we had not done so in years, but it was clearly the thing to do in Xi'an. Bikes take you with a few bumps all along the top of the city walls and give...More

This wall is much wider than the Great wall. It also seems to come across as better constructed as well. The wall is well maintained and is a pleasure to walk or cycle around in the evening.

13.7 km in total, unless you want a long walk - hire a bike. It took our group between 45 and 90 mins to get round (depending on cycling speed and number of stops for photo's). It costs to get onto the wall and to...More

loved the bike ride on top of the Xian City wall! A must-do for active people. . . they have tandems, which was a great option for our 10 year old!

The City walls are impressive. They are wide enough for 6 chariots to race side-by-side. The total length is about 14km and some people rent bikes and drive around. I did not. It's like the great wall in the sense that every few hundred meters,...More

Great view and photo ops, bikes are fine but no speeds/all one size. If you're tall, it's doable but you'll be a little sore the next day. Go early before the heat. It's about 9 miles if you do the whole thing (there are options...More

Its what is in the inside of these walls. The locals keep up with tradition with mix of western culture when it come to stores an markets and the way the community exists. Obviously a tourist attraction but still very neat place to check out

There are loads of great historical tours and activities to do in Xian. I really liked the old city wall and of course the Terracotta Warriors.

Once you leave you cannot renter. It’s very inexpensive to get in around 8 US dollars. I would recommend renting the bikes it’s a lot of fun and you can ride at your own pace. Stopping and viewing the city it’s beautiful.

I believe that only the South Gate is open at night. To the south of the South Gate there is a show on in the night, which could be nice to look at from the wall. I'm not sure what times it is on, but it involves some... More
