Refer to my bell tower review. Choose either one if you are on budget. Nothing spectacular and something you can miss either one

There is a huge plaza in between the bell and the drum towers. The drum tower is better then the bell one. In the drum tower every 45 minutes there is a little nice show of women playing traditional music. The view looks at the...More

Great photo opportunities from the drum floor. You have a great view over the city. The musical performance was worth seeing. The antique furnishings on the top floor were interesting. We paid 100RMB for the combo ticket for the Drum Tower/Bell Tower, but in hindsight,...More

An impressive historical bell tower. A little chaotic with surrounding traffic. Drums and bells served for timing in thousand years. Great to see some history.

I have been to the Drum Towers in Nanjing and Beijing. But this is the oldest one. It's still very well kept although not many bells remain on site. Yet it's still an extraordinary historic site to visit. They have musical performances nearly 5 times...More

Like thr Bell tower this is interesting to view in daylight but really pretty when light up at night. The lights, of course, are not original.

I found my pic on Tripadvisor. The performance times are 9:10, 10:00, 11:00, 15:00, 16:00 and 17:00. Be 30 minutes early as seats are very limited.
