The Guangzhou metro is undoubtedly efficient and easy to navigate, that I give to them. But the only problems I ran into while taking the metro here was with people. For some reason, on a weekday afternoon at 4pm, the train started to get super...More

The metro is world class. Even better was the fact the people working there were so awesome and helped us buy tickets from the machines

It’s efficient and will take you anywhere including the airport. Just be sure to ask for all day pass straight away. 20 RMB but worth the connivence. Clean and safe. Cool city.

I've travelled to Guangzou many, many times and this time I have to say the train station (Guangzhou East) was the cleanest I have ever seen it and the locals that can normally jump you are held outside. You feel safe. If you need to...More

The metro system was efficient. Frequency is good, seems well connected. But it is very very packed during peak hours. Commuters force their way in and will elbow you just to get to a seat. The service staff weren't any more polite. Ticketing was all...More

The cheapest way to travel in Canton. The downside is rarely does it go where you want to without alot of stops. The Tiyu Xi Lu stop is the example of stupidity. You have to get off to continue going on the same line. Beware...More

This is a great subway sytem: clean, fast, cheap as chips, efficient, intuitive and easy to use. (Oh and in summer its really nice and cool.) Love a good subway and this is one of the best.

Overall the experience is good. Safety is the most important issue. We feel very safe because there is 1 or 2 guards on the train. They will patroll on the train to make sure everything is well controlled. The train is clean, bright but always...More

Without a doubt, the worst metro system in China. Expect pushing, shoving, elbows, spitting, shouting, noise, zombies walking around with their heads in their mobile phones, broken escalators, elevators not working, stupid stations such as Tiyu Xilu where you have to change platforms.... All wonderful...More
