Pretty impressive architecture in that building, especially the outside part of the building and the roofs. It's 10 RMB entry but you NEED a passport. Can use storage lockers for your bag. There's lots of little alleys and good picture opportunities. The ivory was odd....More

Not a friendly place if you start speaking in english. Ushers you in rude manner, other than history and architecture that may not be uncommon for chinese tourist or well traveled explorers, its a gallery of delicate elephant tusk sculpting, thats about it.

This is a well kept building despite its history for over 100years (dated back to 1890). Witness the intricate carvings and sculptures showcased, even the building has decor that is 2D/3D.

The Ancestral Hall provides for some amazing architecture - the attention to detail on the roof dragons, etc. are amazing. This facility also houses a Folk Craft Museum. The carvings in particular were most impressive, whether done in wood or ivory. They are truly priceless....More

Take the Metro Line 1 to "Chen Jia Ci"(陈家祠), which is the spelling according to pronunciation in Mandarin of "Chen Clan Ancestral Hall". It is just minutes walk from metro station.
