It used to be Lingnan University's campus. After 1949, Lingnan University merged into other colleges/universities to become Sun Yat-sen University. Although in the past decades, there are a lot of new buildings added in, this campus still maintains most of its traditional buildings in Chinese+Western/Christian...More

My bf studied at this university many years ago so he wanted to show me where he studied. It's a huge campus, nice place to take a walk/stroll even if you are not studying here. Nothing special just for a stroll. All okay except for...More

As a former student, I enjoyed the campus a lot and can say it is really enjoyable for either a walk of jogging. However, due to several ponds around the campus, mosquitoes are largely present.

The campus is currently not open to the public which is a shame as it is a lovely place. It is very green with plenty of trees and is a delightful place for a walk.

Another university full of history. Walked through the North Campus (main campus?) we ended at the bank of Pearl River, from where the Canton Tower could be seen. Beautiful night.

I have fond memories of the Sun Yat-Sen University South Campus from our first visit to Guangzhou last November. Avenues lined with Banyan and Bauhinia trees criss-cross the campus, bringing shade & colour. The Bauhinias in bloom formed purple frames for beautiful buildings, many of...More
