The place is quite nice and a very respectful memorial. The atmosphere around the place is quite peaceful as well. Worth having a quick look when visiting the city.

Spectacular war memorial pretty close to the city centre. Well worth a visit. No English explanation tho. Make sure you read about it before visiting.

It is about Afghanistan war. There are names who died for their country as martyr. You must visit and pray for them

I was impressed by the size of this Memorial. I couldn't read the writing, however I think it is to men from the city who served and died in various wars in the past.

Largely organized and paid for by the mothers of fallen soldiers, this is a remarkable memorial to combatants who paid the prices of sometimes questionable decisions made by government leaders. The Russian war in Afghanistan is at the center of this memorial, but local soldiers...More

One of the symbols of the city, and a must-see for history lovers. A really solemn but heroic representation of the war.

One of the local monuments it is important to see to understand the importance of Russia involvement in different wars and what peoples sacrifice during those periods.

We had a whistle stop here just to take photos but it was very thought provoking and very nice to see that these soldiers are remembered.

Have seen many war memorials around the world but this one is quite moving as it remembers recent history. Worth a visit if just to think for a while.
