take the river route from the Europa Mall and it's 25 minutes along the Volga to the old mill museum. Nice walk even in 35 degree heat!

Do this as part of seeing the Mill and Museum. Lots of old armourments to see right along the Volga.

The Embarkment has a very nice view of the river Volga. It's right at the end of the Alley of Heroes, and from there you can take a walk down the border walk by the river. Nice place.

Outside the incredible Panoramic museum you have various military hardware from the battle dotted about the park area as well as a train with various trucks. Look around the park to find the locations of the actual tank turrets that fired into the German positions....More
