The building is phenomenal, and the dancers were amazing. A really fabulous ballet. We managed to get tickets in the 2nd row and had an amazing evening lapping up the phenomenal ballet.

This is the old theater. It's smaller and more intimate than I expected. It's clearly one of the premier ballet theaters in the world so I can't say much about that. It's a 'don't miss' for your cultural program.

There are two Mariinsky Theatres: the old and the new. TripAdvisor does not separate the two, which offer totally different experiences. So this review is of two separate structures, since we attended performances at both, on successive nights. Mariinsky I This is the historic theatre....More

Dear Fellow Traveller - Unfortunately there are no tours for the public. You need to possess a ticket for a running show to enter and witness the grandeur of the theatre.
