A small craft beer bar and (takeaway) store in the very centre of St. Petersburg, hiding in a basement just 30 metres off the city's main street, Nevsky prospect. Twelve taps and dozens of bottled Russian and European brews with a special accent on local craft beer and new experimental sorts. Instead of tables or bar stools, a wooden amphitheater with cushions for comfort provides seating. Carefully picked snacks and souvenirs. All in all, the ultimate pick for a beer connoisseur.

I went here today to buy some local craft beer for my boss to take home. The employees were very knowledgeable and very helpful. Not to mention spoke English. I will go back that for sure.

Maybe it’s a bit hard to find this tiny place but it’s worth it. Big choice of good local (and not only) beers. Nice atmosphere and friendly, helpful service speaking English. Place for beer lovers

There are not too many options in SPB for a decent pint, but this is a little gem. Friendly with good English spoken behind the bar.

This is beer heaven for all the beer geeks. Hidden in inner yard, in a basement, it's not easy to come by by accident. Excellent selection of beers, at least couple hundreds different ones in bottles and dozen on tap. And of course local specialties...More

A little tough to find but worth the effort. Very good selection of Russian beers. GPS will get you close. Then go to the courtyard behind the McDonalds. The bar is downstairs.

I have visited 100s of craft beer bars around the world and so far Beer Geek is my favourite. The reasons: cosy, warm, very welcome feel; very friendly and helpful staff; incredible (!!) beer selection; cool tunes; unique wooden beer mats; and a take-away beer...More
