Maybe this had a lot of land around it when built but now it's shoehorned on Nevskiy along with shops and offices, though it is on a corner. It's not particularly grand. We did hear a couple of stories about how Count Stroganov invented beef...More

It s true , compare to some others palaces This one is empty, no furniture so the ambiance is less romantique but it still to be interesting The ballroom is just stunning and the staff is more friendly that the others !

The palace seems to not be popular with tourists, which is a shame. It is lovely and should be included on more itineraries. It is small, but there is lots of great architecture inside.

Its not the prettiest building in SPB, the colour put me off - lots of fine art and porcelain to view. Artifacts of the Russian past.

This is a modest museum on Nevskiy Prospekt that is worth a look if you are in the area. Mostly of architectural interest but well decorated and maintained. There is an elevator to avoid the stairs but the staff are not keen to use it....More

Stroganov Palace is situated at 17 Nevskiy Avenue. Easily missed. Pretty impressive building. By the Moika river.
