The bridge is good place to have photographs. The statues are intresting and attention grabbing. The water near looks surreal. Its a nice place in all to be.

The sculptures are beautiful as is the whole bridge, but it's not anything heart taking nor "spectacular". Just average, cool sight to see

Visited St Petersburg in February 2018 in negative twenty conditions and the entire canal was frozen over. Was great - if not daring - to venture down and ‘walk on water’ beneath arguably one of the city’s oldest bridges. Found on Nevsky Prospekt it’s one...More

Must be one of the most interesting, and oldest, bridges in St Petersburg. The bridge has four equestrian statues that represent humanity’s struggle and the taming of nature (according to the book). These are great statues to photograph – especially at night – but trying...More

Anichkov Bridge is the oldest bridge over the Fontanka River. It takes you onto Nevskiy Prospect. Nothing special.

Yes this is historic and the four horses stand out. The bridge itself give a sudden sense of space but Beware of slippy steps in winter. When walking back up Nevsky it serves as a good milestone marker.

Bit of a landmark according to the locals but nothing remarkable if your expecting something akin to the bridges of Paris or even London. However if your on Nevsky Prospekt you might as well walk to it.

St. Petersburg bridges are beautiful and the Anichkov Bridge is no exception. We took a trip down the river and got to see the most famous bridges, including this one.

This is an interesting bridge to visit as you walk along Nevsky Prospekt. Although it's very busy with both traffic and pedestrians, it's still worth a stop here to admire the sculptures of the horses at each end of the bridge. Some impressive art work.

The Anchikov bridge carries the Nevsky Prospect over the Fontalka River and is best regarded for the four statues in the corners of horse tamers. It is one of the tourist hotspots on the Prospekt and therefore gets very crowded on occasion and is also...More
