Went to see Swan Lake. The theater is recently remodeled and is gorgeous. Swan Lake was the most incredible thing I’ve ever seen. I’ve never been to a ballet show before and this is a must do while in Russia.

We went for The Nutcracker. It was magical! Try to get the first row seats. so you will have a delightful experience as you can also see the orchestra playing as the ballet goes. Have fun!

Husband and I watched Swan Lake during our recent visit to St Petersburg. Beautiful experience. Booked the seats in the dress circle - excellent tickets with a great view. Performance was excellent! Dress code was not that strict.

The Mikhailovsky is St.Petersburg's "second" opera house, after the world-renowned Mariinsky. Well, I've gotta tell you: my experience at Mikhailovsky was, for the music, far above my three extremely disappointing experiences at Mariinsky, where overblown and vastly expensive productions are used to distract the audience...More

We have been twice this week to the Mikhailosky theatre. We have seen Romeo and Juliet (ballet) and La Traviata. Both shows were really amateurish. We have paid a lot of money for the tickets and purchased them way in advance, and the feeling was...More

The theatre has clearly been recently modernised but with great attention to its original style. We saw a great and very moving performance of La Boheme, sung in Italian with Russian surtitles. Very young audience (by Uk standards) were highly enthusiastic. We had great seats...More

You won’t understand the essencial russian spirit, if you don’t book a ticket to admire the classical russian ballet in this ancient theatre. I saw “the nutcracker “, and I have no words to describe the beauty of this opera in this place. If you...More

I think your seats will be just fine. I personally prefer stalls circle, but i am sure you won't have any problem seeing the stage from where you are at. And of course your wife can keep her handbag. Enjoy!!! It is a... More
