The bay is forty kilometres long and is a most interesting introduction to Murmansk if coming by sea. The last few kilometres contain the endless docks and ships of many shapes and sizes from naval to oil support and tankers.

You can have a more-than-perfect view form the Kola bay if you go up the Alyosha monument. Believe me, you will not be disappointed.
