This beautiful train station building looks more like a palace for the tsars than a railroad terminal.

The train station at the end of the line in Vladivostok is as beautiful as the train station in Moscow where the Trans-Siberian Railroad begins. It is one of the oldest buildings located centrally in Vladivostok. There are beautiful frescoes on the ceiling. You feel...More

The building is beautiful and there are historic exhibits to explain its history. We went here as part of a city tour and then later when we boarded the train for Moscow. I wish we'd scheduled more time there.

My rating is for the TripAdvisor map, not the terminal, since I never actually found the terminal. The location shown in the map in this app for the Railroad Terminal is NOT correct. I spent nearly an hour walking around in the area where the...More

This station was a welcome sight at the end of my solo train trip, but not just that. Look out for the old steam engine on the platform. I arrived very early and sat inside the old building to kill time, and then was veey...More

This was the first place to experience after lenghty but rewarding trans-Siberian train which my friend and I took from Ulan Ude. We did the first part of the trans-Siberian train in 2008, and wanted to complete it. It is architecturaly beautiful and great welcoming...More

The terminus to the Trans Siberian Railway is a magnificent building in the grand scale of early railway buildings. Access is easy via security and you are free to wander around and investigate the Transsib train itself from the platform. The 9289km railway is still...More

As you may know, Sevirian railway starts from Vladivostok. Just here is a start line to Europe. You can see old aged train here. That's very fantastic.

The architecture of the train station was the main reason that we visited this area. The best photo of the train station may be taken by crossing the road to the Lenin Statue, and taking a photo of the entire building, which is difficult from...More

We saw one of the Moscow/Vladivostok trans Siberian trains in the station. Huge. It is an old and beautiful historic building with ceilings painted by an Italian artist. Despite this, it is very modern in its operation. 9000 km and 7 days later - you...More

What is the question? If one is wondering how to get to Lake Baikal and Irkutsk by all means take the train from Vladivostok. the journey will be about 3 days. Or fly to Irkutsk if time is a concern.
