This beautiful train station building looks more like a palace for the tsars than a railroad terminal.

Visiting the station is a lot of fun. Built as part of the of the Trans-Siberian Railway - the longest railway in the world, it connects Moscow and Vladivostok. It was opened in 1893 and the building is fantastic - I’ve been there several times!...More

The end of the Trans-Siberian Railroad is certainly an iconic spot. The terminal is nicely restored from the paint to the beautiful copper pipe on the exterior. The mural on the ceiling inside, the chandeliers in the stairwell and more give a sense of importance...More

Pretty amazing building - and was unaware that the trans-Siberian railway starts/ends here. Go inside at least to look at the ceiling. Just near the port and well worth a visit - even for the photo moments.

Very well maintained building and love the drainage copper pipes running from the roof top. Classy and unique!

Besides this terminal is also the ship terminal which is very unusual but here both are close to each other and this terminal is one of the most beautiful in the transiberian railway

Charming station, and would be a nostalgic beginning to the trans-Siberian trip. Well preserved, and attractive.

This is the copy of Jaroslavl terminal in Moscow. It's also the ending point or starting point of the legendary Trans Siberian railroad.

The train station at the end of the line in Vladivostok is as beautiful as the train station in Moscow where the Trans-Siberian Railroad begins. It is one of the oldest buildings located centrally in Vladivostok. There are beautiful frescoes on the ceiling. You feel...More

The building is beautiful and there are historic exhibits to explain its history. We went here as part of a city tour and then later when we boarded the train for Moscow. I wish we'd scheduled more time there.

What is the question? If one is wondering how to get to Lake Baikal and Irkutsk by all means take the train from Vladivostok. the journey will be about 3 days. Or fly to Irkutsk if time is a concern.
