The monastery is right in the center and well preserved. The staff is very helpful and english speaking. It is definitely worth paying the small fee to climb the bell tower to enjoy a stunning view on Yaroslavl.

Incredible old structure and well maintained. You can climb (do not bump you head!) all the way to the top to the bell tower level. Incredible views of the area, and the rivers.
