The monuments is very impressive given it’s size and color. There is a path that takes you to the base but we decided to just admire it from a distance.

One of the most infamous monuments in Moscow. It was also called the Colossus of Rhodes in Moscow and Gulliver in Moscow. It is tall - almost a hundred meters - and is installed on an artificial reinforced concrete island. I can not even imagine...More

Walking along the river you can spot this long before you actually get there. It is a massive statue. It is well worth a look at while walking along the embankment.

I am glad that they decided to place this monument in Moscow and not in St Petersburg. It is so modern, conceptual and strange. It looks impressive and confusing. The best view point to this monument is from the embankment of the Muzeon art park.

After all the glitter and gold and pomp and pride this monument seems sort of funny. It is just so plain when compared with the rest of Moscow.

Towering structure in the Moscow river. Not that old but very imposing and well done. Easy to see from Gorky Park. If in the park it’s worth a short walk to add it to you Moscow photo collection.

Gigantic statue of Peter the Great, A controversial one and voted among the ugliest statues of the world. Great view of the statue from the Moscow river cruise. Personally I liked the statue.

Yakimanka acts as Moscow’s evergreen lungs with prime
beaches on the Moscow river. All the benefits of
visiting and living in Yakimanka are gathered at the
Moscow river embankment – three parks: Gorky, Muzeon
and Neskuchny garden shape this green stripe with
museums showing the hippest contemporary art. The area
is full of activities for your eyes (museums), mouth
(restaurants) and feet (sport and dance-wise). Access
