Along with the old Arbat street, this area has a lot of things to see...many merchants, shops and restaurants. When we were there, there were a lot of street performers who were very entertaining. Another, Must-go to place in Moscow

It is a great place for strolling and shopping. There are also reasonably priced restaurants. It is a pedestrian zone so it's quiet.

Just like the old arbat street, this place too is a tourist delight. Fab restaurants, branded and designer showrooms, plush outlets...this has it all. The prices are on the steeper side. But worth a dekko if you are staying this side of Town.

We were told that this is THE street to walk in and enjoy the shops, but we soon realized this is just a busy and VERY noisy street with huge buildings and some shops. It can easily be skipped.

Crowds of tourists, both local and international take
in Old Arbat and its modern and gigantic peer – New
Arbat. One reason visitors keep coming is no doubt
Konstantin Melnikov’s famous private house, now open
to the public and worthy of a visit. After exploring
one of the oldest parts of Moscow, avoid the crowds
and turn to the side streets and boulevards where
calmness and affordable food is plentiful.
