I’m not at all a cook but wanted to try something new while in Moscow, am very glad I took this class. Not only did I learn how to make 3 delicious dishes but Galina also explained the histories behind these dishes which added to the experience. I felt extremely comfortable in her kitchen and she was very easy to talk to and interesting. Learned a lot about not just Russian food but also Russia itself. During the class I had told her I wasn’t fully sure how to navigate Moscow and after the class she sent me an email with not only the recipes we cooked but also a link to a Moscow taxis app just to help out. I would definitely recommend this class

We spent the afternoon in the company of Galina in a location close to central Moscow. We were late as we had a few problems on the metro and then got lost but Galina was totally reasonable about this and came to find us on the street. We had our 12 & 14 year old kids with us and we all cooked independantly which was especially nice for them. Galina gave us expert instruction along with a bit of history and we made borscht, herring under fur and a cold soup. We are 2 vegetarians and 2 meat eaters but this was no problem at all for Galina who accommodated for us all. Lots of fun and we would all highly recommend! Thanks Galina! X

Galina met me at the metro station and had a ride arranged directly to the lessons, so there were absolutely no problems getting there and on time. She gave me the histories of the dishes (borscht, herring with fur coat and cold soup), along with the reasonings for why the ingredients are as they are. Her preparation for the course was excellent and helped expedite the lessons. The environment was very neat and clean, and the lessons were helpful along with being fun. After the lesson, Galina had another ride arranged to bring me back to the metro station. All in all, very good experience, which I would heartily recommend!

My husband is a passionated cook and wherever we go I try to arrange a cooking class for him. From the beginning of the contact with Galina until the good bye it was all very well supported and arranged from Galans side and as authentic as it could be. We went home to her apartment and spent a couple of hours in her kitchen to cook but also getting a lot of background information about the Russian cuisine and culture. At the end we tried the very authentic dishes she cooked with my husband and we left her apartment and thought while we had waited so long firstly to go to Moscow and secondly to discover the Russian cuisine. Thanks Galina for this wonderful experience !!!!

I am so happy I took Galina’s Russian cooking class. She was very flexible and she even modified the class and menu to suit vegetarian needs and also to suit my desire to learn certain dishes. I love the fact that she incorporated Russian history into the class as well as explaining the reason for using different ingredients. After preparing each dish, I enjoyed them and they were delicious - in fact i really like that the experience is hands-on and you participate fully in the cooking under Galina’s guidance. I’m excited to try the recipes at home. Five-star experience and highly recommended!
