A visit to Bacolod, especially during the Masskara Festival every October is not complete without dropping by Jojo Vito Designs at the ground floor of the Metrodome along Araneta Street. This art gallery-cum-souvenir shop is home to world class creations, with the masks as the centerpiece of the place. From half masks to full, wearable masks made of fiberglass, ones with plain colors, multi-colored with glitters, those with feathers and dangles, with full headresses, to masks made out of resin and ceramic for figurines and giveaways, you will all find them there. Famous personalities have graced this beautiful gallery. The likes of multi-awarded journalist and broadcaster Jessica Soho and fashion icons, Anne Curtis and Liz Uy. It was also featured in various local, national and international TV as "the house of masks". Jojo Vito Designs is indeed a must place in Bacolod, that is guaranteed to make you smile like Bacolod's Masskara

If you are in Bacolod City during October you should try MASSKARA FESTIVAL and try to visit Jojo Vito Design Gallery at Metrodome. For me its not a store but rather a Mask Museum of Bacolod City. Because various mask are displayed and all are hand made. The store is open whole year round... So don't forget to bring home a smile from Bacolod City...

Bacolod City is the city of smiles and is popularly known as the home of the Masskara Festival celebrated every October. The festival highlights elaborately decorated masks in bright smiles, an epitome of the Negrense unique trait. When you happen to be in Bacolod, it is a must that you visit Jojo Vito Designs Gallery conveniently located at the Metrodome. It houses the best masks there is plus a whole lot more. Their masks are hand made, painted beautifully and what is best is that they are reasonably priced. They also have a wide array of products such as lamps, wall and table decor and whole lot more. So, for an experience you won't forget, visit them and go home with a token and big smile in your heart.....

AWED, In a word, masks in all shapes, sizes, and forms (wall decors, trophies, pocket souvenirs, etc.) Masks are originally hand-drawn/designed by the owner himself: Jojo Vito. Not only the delight of masks designs, but also the warm reception of people in the gallery - coffee, tea, or just simple the man of the hour: Jojo - with his spontaneity and lightness of company. The gallery would even provide a wrapping of the bought item befitting to the recipient - our department bought a birthday gift collection (masks) for the school president. When in Bacolod - Jojo Vito Designs Gallery is one worthy shop for tour stopover.

The shop is a bit hard to find but just ask the locals. You can buy those colorful Maskara Festival masks here as well as various household ornaments, chandeliers and other artsy stuff. They even have blank mask templates for you to paint yourself. They were out of masks so we opted to paint a couple of mask paperweights at 150 per plaster paperweight. They will provide the brushes and paint to use. You can also just watch how the staff make the masks or other items at their workshop.
