This public park snd plaza is place for locals to be relaxed, avoid heat of the day ; during my visit on october , there is celebration for grand event of the year, masskara festival ; there are many shops selling souvenir T shirsts for this event; souvenir smiling masks, fresh tropical fruit juice stands, fresh fruit on all sides of the park. There is a white roman pavillion in tge middle of the park , good point for snapshot. Unfortunately, this year masskara grand event will be set on 26/27/28 october2018, normally it set on 3rd weekend of october. It's my luck that miss this grand event that will take place here on Bacolod public plaza.

A place frequented by the locals. It can be very hot during the day so be prepared to take cover in the shades of the trees surrounding the park

There are several activities noted here: playing chess, having manicure and pedicure done, children playing, people resting, etc.

Located here also is a gazebo, some statues, public restrooms, etc, Across from is is the Cathedral.

However, during the week, and after 8pm, only visit if you're looking for a girlfriend, stray animals or a busy place to sleep (because the hotel you paid for online was really closed due to Covid 19 insanity)

This park is really nice to walk around at night. Feels safe as police stations close by. Plenty of locals around it's a fun place to see in Bacolod. Many shops and supermarkets nearby.

I read that this is where the MassKara festival takes place. Other than that, the attraction of the park is the gazebo (but they call it bandstand) in the middle of it. I passed by this a lot during my 4 days in a Bacolod and it's so lively. People just hang out here, and they play music, so it's fun to just walk around here when there's nothing to do.

This must stay this way. It's simple yet beautiful. Also relaxing. It's recommended for families when they want to have a mini bonding experience in the center of the city.

in the older days, one can sit there and be at peace under the big trees, watch the passersby while the smell of flowers drift through the air.

these days, the place is full of garbage, peddlers of all things (including manicure / pedicure) and hold-uppers. DO NOT EVEN ATTEMPT TO GO THERE AT NIGHT TIME.
