Coral Sea Dive Center is a friendly, professionally run scuba dive business on Mactan Island, Cebu, offering PADI and CMAS scuba diving courses from Open Water up to divemaster and we specialize on arranging boat dives for certified divers taking divers out to the many dive sites around Mactan Island and our surrounding islands in the warm clear waters where we have wall dives , caves dives , wreck dives and many marine sanctuaries with coral gardens

Amazing diving experience, very affordable prices and definitely the most friendly instructors. My girlfriend & I had a great time diving with Matt & Dindo who made sure that we were comfortable before, during and after every dive.

Ever since I had my discover dive 6 years ago, I was longing for the PADI open water license. Finally I got my time to do it so it was the most important object for me on this trip to the Philippines. I carefully read all the reviews and compare prices for A LOT OF dive shops all around the Philippines like in Cebu, Bohol, Palawan and etc. And I decided to go with Matt.
After a long waiting and researching, I was bit nervous if I’d regret on choosing the Coral Sea Dive. Jumping to the conclusion, it is safe to say that it was the best place and I did my research well😎 I have dived 4 times before here around the globe, yet 4 dives I had here with Coral Sea Dive in Mactan was definitely the best one.
Matt was a very friendly and kind person. He was easy-going that he allowed me to suspend my second day schedule and wait for my sinus symtoms goes away even with a very short notice, but at the same time he has a well-organized structure when it comes to educating me since I was there to achieve the license. He answered me all the questions I didn’t understand and shared “pro-tips” to the newbie! He was a guy that you can ask anything then he will be there! I had such pleasant and comfort two days with him.
I have to also mention about two instructors I had. They were my one-to-one teacher who dived with me. Even though I assumed they work with many other dive shops as a freelancer, they were very organized, knowledgeable and responsible. Especially, Dindo, my second day instructor, was a very friendly and considerate guy whom I’d love to be friend with. And he is very supportive and explains really well and easy, which made my last dive my best dive. I finally knew what I am doing underwater and was able to feel 100% comfort. He even took photos and videos of me with his GoPro and sent me. I was surprised that he did it willingly and it was free of charge since that is usually how other dive shops make extra money.
I am sad that I might miss the boat trip with Coral Sea Dive due to my short schedule. But if I have a chance, this is going to be my shop again! Thanks a lot Matt, Raul and Dindo 👋

I will for sure be diving with Matt (the owner) and Coral Sea the next time I am in Mactan. He has the best rates and hospitality. I had an amazing time scuba diving again. I did my PADI advanced open water certification with Coral Sea and with the instructor Clemens. It was such a good time, I also had my girlfriend do her open water certification here as well.
Aside from courses, Matt can also take you out on shore dives during the week. There is a cool cave dive that he can take you on from the shore. If you are around on the weekend, I would highly recommend you go on Matt's Sunday boat dive as well. There is a good, fun group of people. There is good diving and some good eating and drinking afterwards as well.
Overall, diving with Coral Sea was one of the highlights of my trip. If you are in Mactan I recommend you check Coral Sea out. Matt is a good guy and will take care of you. Cheers!

We had a great day with Matt, Cherrie and their team, along with our fellow divers yesterday.
Our family of 4 are newer OW PADI certified divers and we had had fun and felt completely relaxed for all 3 of our dives.
We had a wonderful BBQ lunch that Cherrie and her team put together while we were out on dive #2.
Following our 3rd dive and return to shore, Matt & Cherrie invited us to join them along with other divers for pizza and beer at a great local restaurant.
Our family of 4 are newer OW PADI certified divers and we had had fun and felt completely relaxed for all 3 of our dives.
We had a wonderful BBQ lunch that Cherrie and her team put together while we were out on dive #2.

For many months now i have dived with coral sea dive centre every Sunday & I highly recommend their dive service.
Matt & Cherrie are all ways very professional,caring & helpful to all their dive & non diving guests.They provide dive equipment to those who need it.Snorkeling is also provided to the Non scuba divers.The day out comes with an excellent & tasty BBQ lunch,of course tea,coffee & fresh water.The dive location are many & from Mactan to Olanggo island. Again I am very pleased to spend every Sunday & even Saturdays when available diving with Coral sea dive centre.To any who want an enjoyable time with friendly & fun people contact Matt & Cherrie(Coral Sea Dive Centre Mactan)

After working in the industry for many years and now finally going back to fun diving I often find problems with trusting dive operations . Not with this one - from the very beginning the predive chat and questions asked were all the right ones , done in a warm and friendly way . This set the atmosphere for the whole experience --- welcoming , friendly , professional and at the same time as much fun as can be expected when sharing your hobby / passion with others .
We met just outside the location and some of the regular customers gave me a ride to the boat pick up point .......... now that in itself is a mixture of a small thing , but also a good thing . When you have highly experienced divers who are repeat customers it tells you a lot about the operation . I managed to cause a small amount of confusion due to diving a slightly different system , but it ws never seen as a problem .... I was ONLY offered solutions and made to feel like they were no problem at all .
The boat was a rental , I was told that the crew are the ones regularly used because they are safe , honest and really helpfull . This also proved to be true , most experienced divers have their own gear , and there are always bits left on the boat that can be expensive -- at NO time did I feel I had to worry about things going missing while I was diving .
The area we dived was new to me , the briefing was complete and easy to understand yet at the same time not long enough to the point of giving too much information and overloading us with facts and figures ( quite often an overzealous diveguide will give out so much information that by the time they have finished you have forgotten where you are going .
I wasn't nannied and at the same time I wasn't forgotten . I could see that Matt was watching all of us , without being in our faces and distracting from the dive . This takes experience and knowledge of how to care for people .
Inbetween dives Matt's wife , Cherrie , made sure that we wanted for nothing -- there was always coffee and tea being offered and snacks on the table for us to help ourselves to ,
After the second dive we returned to a Bbq , also cooked by Cherrie , divers are always hungry and there was more than enough to feed everyone on board with plenty left over .
All of the guests on board were made to feel welcome and not pressured to go past their own personal limits for interaction , ( quite a few divers just want peace and quiet ) , the divesites were well know and well explained , I saw many questions about the aquatic life being answered and explained by Matt to a very competent degree .
As I live fairly close to the area I can only hope that I too become a regular .
A great team , an amazingly friendly atmosphere , professionally run - easily adapting to any of the little hiccups that occur when combining people and the ocean . I am more than happy to continue diving with this company -- Matt & Cherrie are the type of owners that end up becoming friends , not just a customer / owner relationship and I am really looking forward to when I can next join them for more adventures under the surface .

We spent the last 3 days diving with Coral Sea Dive Center at multiple dive sites including Olango island,PCR , marigondon wall ,Tambuli Wall ,and many others. We are very experienced divers and pretty discerning of where we spend our precious time. Matt was a great guide and we spent days having fun . The boat captains, crews and support teams are obviously friendly and helpful .
Amazing diving right off the beach. reef was incredible with a guarantee to see alots of fish , beautiful corals and turtle and the instructor was professional and good Dive gear ,

The best dive shop to go for if you are looking for a safe and awesome diving!!!Blessed to be assigned with Matthew who is very experienced Plane wreck and above the Marigondon cave is my favourite . I’ve been travelling around the Philippines for a month now and I don’t usually write reviews, but I felt Coral Sea Dive Center deserves an excellent write up. Of all the shops I’ve visited, they’ve been the most hopeful and friendliest.Every single one of their staff were welcoming and made you feel like part of their team.We were very impressed ,.I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to divers as a great dive location for both small, groups and large. They organized great BBQ for lunch ,We enjoy our day diving with Coral Sea Dive Center..
