it must have seen better days.

was it because the pandemic struck?

whatever the reason, this mall which used to be a glorious place for get-togethers, family reunions, celebrations, meet-ups, is now somewhat sad and gloomy. gone are the customers rushing from one point to another. the parking lot is no longer crowded. food stalls are devoid of diners.

i am sure this mall still has lots to offer. when this health crisis is overcome, this country mall will rise again.

My first trip to Cebu, found me with a shopping list of items I had yet to find for family and friends. I Had tried all the large malls in Angeles City, Manila and Cebu. One item my son wanted, Arnis fighting sticks, used in Karate. After no luck, I was getting desperate. I decided to start calling Karate schools in Cebu City. Maybe they could help me. First call, the guy tells me, "sure, Giasano Country Mall, tbhey have them" So I grab a cab and head for the Mall. When I arrive, I realize this is no longer a first class Mall. But, it sure had the right stores. Not only did they have the sticks, they were less than half price of what my son expected me to pay. After making the purchase, I decided to look around. My wife had given me a request to buy her a "Maria Clara" dress, a dress worn on special occasions, normally formal in nature. It has what I refer to as butterfly wings on the shoulders. Anyway, I went into the largest dept. store, and headed for the ladies clothes area. I ask the sales lady if they had such a dress. She pointed to a downstairs area in the store and said they have them. Wow, was I surprised. Not only did they have them but they were beautiful. They also had many other beautiful dresses. Then, the next surprise and a big one. I expected to pay about P6,000.00 vrom what friends had said they would cost. It was slightly under P2,000.00. I picked up a couple other nice dresses foe about 20% of what they would have cost in a dept. store like Dillards in the states. I even found a alterations shop in the street level storefronts that made the necessary alterations to fit properly. My wife had given me about every measurement you can take to make it fit right. The grand total for the alterations was P200.00. For those that don't know, exchange rate was P46.00 to 1 USD. Now you see how cheap this stuff is. So for cheap shopping and also for some cheap places in the Mall to eat, don't pass this place up while in Cebu. After all, shopping in Ayala or SM City is like shopping in the States.

Gaisano Country Mall was within easy walking distance of our hotel (Montebello) and had a few shops including one supermarket, a small food court and chain restaurants such as Jollibee and ChowKing.

Nothing out of the ordinary, but still handy.

I’ve been a very long time customer of this place and i tell you, the grocery store is top of my list, well for a fact that its very private during weekdays and not so crowded during non rush hours is very relaxing and they made renovations to the place which makes it more presentable. Kudos!!

Gaisano Country Mall is a great place to shop for the younger generation. As already informed to the management, the taxi service for seniors and PWD's is not great even after writing to the right department. The management realized their mistakes and did allocate a seating area for seniors waiting for a taxi, but those seats are used by young people using their cell phones and the guards do not assist them. The management has not made a definitive arrangement with taxis to constantly drive by the Mall.

Country Mall or C-Mall for short, is very accessible for people coming from the farther end of Cebu like Talamban, Bacayan, and Pit-Os. It basically has every basic commodities you may need so you don't need to travel to the downtown area.

Their cinemas may be far from being the best but its one of the most affordable. For one ticket you can enjoy unlimited viewing for that day only.

I had a training-workshop in UC Banilad Campus so Gaisano Country Mall was a good choice for getting affordable food. They have a food court in the lower ground floor so I have a wide variety of food stores to choose from. I mostly ate Beef Tofu Rice with vegetables which cost 45 pesos. I also had Bibimbap and Beef Spicy Teriyaki with Rice which cost 109 and 119 pesos respectively. So if you happen to go to that area of Cebu (Banilad) then you should go to Gaisano Country Mall for your meals.

Its where almost everyone passes by and its near UC banilad as well so it is convenient. Problem is, there's nothing more to expect unlike some other malls. Its just a simple mall. My family comes here to eat lunch and buy basic necessities. The only problem here is that Country mall seems run down or old. Some places of it are dirty especially the third floor and the movie place that they have. But overall its still running.

No problem in some stalls. They got good food choices. They need to improve their cinemas in terms of the audio quality. The dirt of their white screen is visible.
