Hop off your ride. See the cave. Say a prayer. Hop back on your ride. Definitely worthy of further development.

The cave has its ambience .... natural cold and limited light. Then the statue of the blessed mother is there. The slab of stone was there telling the story of how it came about. The natural spring water was also continuously flowing around the statue. Though the it was an eyesore of sorts to see plastic basins around the altar .... gathering up the dripping water.

Pretty cool religious cultural site. Our Lady of Guadalupe replica is very nice.

Mother Mary pray for us.

All glory to God

I visited this place because of faith and I also believe that this image really gives miracle. The cave is hot since the time I went there the aircon was off.(yes, you heard it right) the cave has been innovated and modernize. By the way a lot of mosquito's inside the cave. Better pray on the altar where the mass is always held.

Very very holy. The water behind Mama Mary is believed to be holy since it naturally comes from the cave itself. Need to ride habal2x since it is very far from the city center.

Quiet and clean place. We went there during Holy Week. I expected lots of people but there were only a few. A good place to pray to the Virgin Mary specially inside the cave where it is solemn and quiet. I also brought my kids with me. My 3yr old daughter is afraid of the dark cave, but when I told her to pray, she just kept quiet and waited for me to finish praying. :-)

The image is engraved on a rock, or so I was told. There was a small circle fronting the image, but before you can come in, you need to remove your shoes or slippers. This practice is actually based on the bible - which signifies that the ground is holy. Indeed, one can feel the presence of God there.

Guadalupe Cave is where the image of Our Lady of Guadalupe is enshrined. Indeed, it is a cave, called Langub, by the locals. It is small, can accommodate to the most 30 people during a mass. The inside of the cave has been cemented, making it safe for anyone praying inside. At the altar is the image of Our Lady of Guadalupe, believed to have been found by a local right inside the cave, around 400 yrs ago. It has been told that this local was trying to catch a chicken which went inside the cave. He followed it and there he found the image in the mud. He cleaned it and brought it to the Bishop, who declared that it is the image of Our Lady of Guadalupe, the reason why they call it the Guadalupe Cave. It is air conditioned. It is also well lighted. During Holy Week, people flock to the cave to pray.

Not much there except a small cave with drops of water coming out of the stalactites. It's a unique place to visit after seeing the Taoist temple but not worth driving all the way.

Cebuanos are religious folk; it is no surprise really since Cebu is the seat of Christendom in the Philippines since 1565.
The Guadalupe Cave or Langub ( Bisayan term for cave ) in Guadalupe is one of the most visited sites in Cebu City. Cebuano folks claim that the image of Our Lady of Guadalupe appeared before the locals inside a cave. Because of the many cures among the sick, out of their faith in God, through the intercession of Our Lady, the cave has been frequented by thousands of tourists and sick devotees who wish to get miraculous help. You can find this cave at Kalunasan, near Oppra, in Cebu City. There is an “outdoor church” right outside the cave, and every Saturday, the church has healing mass for the sick at 4:00 PM. Our Lady of Guadalupe is the official patroness of Cebu.
The Guadalupe Cave is an interesting place to visit during your trip to Cebu.
