Along with the nearby Yap-Sandiego ancestral house, this old Jesuit house, tucked inside a Chinese hardware, is considered as one of the oldest houses in the Philippines. An inscription inside the house dates its construction to the year 1730. Historical records say that it was formerly used as Jesuit house or one of its mission houses. Inside you'll be accompanied by a tour guide who will tell you about its history and guide you through its various rooms.

The Jesuit House was an interesting visit. The house was able to preserve its vintage quality. We were able to learn about its history through the photos posted on its walls and the information given to us by the stationed guides. I also liked viewing the vintage items and artifacts that were on display. Lastly, I enjoyed listening to the harp performer present at the time.

A great site to learn about history, art, and culture can be found here. As you explore the exhibits and discover more about the things on show, a museum visit can be both informative and pleasant. It was an incredible experience, and I also learned about Cebu's history in addition to that of the Philippines. Our trip is definitely worthwhile.

I recently had a pleasure of visiting the Jesuit house during Gabii sa Kabilin 2023, and it was an absolute delight. The heritage house offers a fascinating glimpse into the city’s colonial past, providing us with a rich and immersive experience. There was also a live harp playing in the background which added to the nice vibe.

Love the airconditioned place. Every relic found inside were amazing to see and I feel like it really shows an important part of what our history really looked like. Also, loved how they gave out free icecream after finishing the whole house [I think it was because of the GSK happening too] 🤘

We were surprised this house is located in an old warehouse but don’t let this fool you. Inside you find a nice house with a lot of information about the area, historic Cebu and the history of the family that once lived here.
We had a well informed and enthusiastic tour guide who explained everything very well.
Worth a visit!

It was an experience to visit here as the meticulous restoration efforts have maintained its original structure, allowing visitors like me to step into the past and gain a deeper understanding of Cebu's history. I wished that there was signage around the area because the location was quite hard to precisely locate. Regardless, I had a great time here

It was actually a really interesting museum. The outside maintains the hidden mess of the majority of its existence as active warehouse and factory. Inside you find a wealth of history and very friendly people. This tucked away gem was great!

Christian gave us a 90 minute tour with passion and a genuine love of the musueum. Quirky history and location. Refreashingly different. 50 peso entrance does not do justice to Christians effort and guiding service. An anachronism in a steel metal factory. Loved the Juke Box too, it was fun looking at the record list too! Support some special and unique and escape an ac mall for a morning.

Located within another building, at the back of a car garage/warehouse, it is difficult to find. I dare say many prospective visitors turn up at the front and think "this can't be it". Hopefully some will read this review and continue :-)
The attraction is modest - 15 minutes is all you need - but the price reflects that. The structure of the building is intriguing and is being very tidily restored. The premises generally are kept very clean too.
The staff/guides are friendly and informative. Not overbearing, but chat as you go around.
Most impressively, this is all being done by way of private investment. It would undoubtedly be more profitable to use the property for the car/storage purpose (as it used to be) so it is to the credit of the owners that they put their personal wealth towards preservation of something historic.
It compares favourably to other similar (but better marketed) attractions in Cebu (one on the same road), so I'd recommend a visit to anybody visiting the city.

Did you happen to get Christians number? Several people said he was great. Do they work off tips like in Central America?
