This Church has 9 daily masses every day. We could say that it SUnday almost every day. It is at the heart of the city, almost all traffic passes on this church, very accessible. You can catch a mass at almost any hour of the day and priests are available for confessions.

Popped in here during Sinulog to see the church and Mass was occurring so we stayed for it. Masses occur all day long every day. You would have to try hard to miss one. Bathrooms need upgrading. All public toilets seem to have no running water and are flushed with a small bucket of bleach water. No tissue, but clean smelling. Anyway, that was a little tip on toilets in Cebu. There are a lot of interesting and eclectic art and statuary in the Church. Quite an echo so was hard at times to hear everything, but if you are Catholic you know how the Mass is said. It’s the same everywhere and it’s in English here with some Cebuano thrown in. Quite lovely.

Amidst busy life, Sto. Rosario church is strategically located near big universities, banks, establishments and hotels. Roman Catholics pay tribute by offering mass.

I first began to notice this mid-size church, built in 1933, from taxis when I passed by. People were very reverent, crossing themselves if they were on the sidewalk, and it was always open for services. The location, near universities and a large urban population in Colon makes it very ideal. And there is something about it - those big wide doors, open-air to the side courtyards, and the many masses being read and sung that reaches out and provides a comforting island in the busy city. They hold almost hourly masses on weekdays and weekends, with the earliest service starting at 5 a.m. and the latest at 7 p.m.

When i was still in college i used to pass by this area..Again in the afternoon on the way back to my boarding house. there are fruit stands here and flowers for sale beside the church. On Wednesdays i visit the church after school to attend church service.
It is a nice church spacious and well ventilated. You can see this along P. del Rosario Avenue where the well known San Carlos University is just close. i was able to visit this area again when i visited my former boarding house, which the owner is from my hometown.

eventhough the place is just near a major road, it's still one of the best place to reflect, pray, and be in silence with God. the place is always clean and not very full of vendors, where sometimes in other churches they distract churchgoers main-purpose which is to pray. i love that it's neat and that the figures/frames of Saints are all lined-up in display to pray for your intentions. Other churches just put them in storage rooms, or even not keep them in good condition/clean them regularly. The priests are always "on-point" on their "wali"/gospel; not telling many stories just to lengthen the mass or to prove one point.

A big Catholic Church within the city. It is located in a very busy major thoroughfare; located near the University of San Carlos, the biggest university within the city. Many masses are held daily in this church. This is more of a place of worhip and prayer.
