Osmeña Park is one of the most frequented public parks in Davao City. The historical landmark in the centre notes that this place was once the settlement site of early Davaoeños. Coming from Cebu, parks of this level of interest and shade are very rare. Davao seems to be full of them, and it reflects well on the community. I would recommend slowing down for a little bit, get yourself a seat somewhere and just watch the world of Davao go by for awhile. These parks may not be aesthetically perfect, but they are rich in vegetation, community congregation, and respite form the surrounding busy traffic.

We only passed by this place and my kids were disappointed because when we went there, their playground was still closed for renovation...but if it was open, it would have been a great place for the kids to enjoy for FREE! :)

A small park in the heart of downtown Davao, right in the corner of the busy CM Recto and San Pedro Streets, with nothing much to see but it is where you spend some time in between activities ... with bench and shades of trees to rest for a while or take leisurely walk ... either before or after going to Davao Museum, San Pedro Cathedral, Police Station, City Council and the City Hall a little farther. You can spend a half-day City Tour of Davao within this vicinity where every attraction is so close to one another. Take your lunch after, at the famous Colasa's B-BQ just across the rotunda or at other fast-food chains some meters away. Cheap bargains are also available right at the park.

No entrance fee, if you want to kill some time or just to relax or even listen to religious debates or even watch people playing "dama", This park is open for everybody. You will see a lot of police in the area since it is really close to PNP barracks.

Not really a must see but a good place if you just want to kill time. What I like about this place it has a lot of huge trees around so its relaxing and breezy compared to the Rizal park near by.
It has a portion for kids play ground and a place for check / checkers players, there is also a place for seniors to hang out.
