Christmas Day 2014 .....First of all the website said it was 10 minutes Cab ride from Davao City ,15 min From the airport. Maybe by helicopter. Our party of 6 adults and 4 children needed 2 taxis and it took almost 45 minutes over the road to hell.
One of the worst roads I have ever traveled on. When we got there. the place hadn't opened and we had pay our admission and wait .
When we were allowed in after almost an Hours wait the advertised Wave pool was "closed for maintenance ' The Zoo ? Also Closed for maintenance. Some of the rides .that the kids went on looked like they would fall to pieces at any moment and , there were visible signs of ongoing repair works on othere sites.. There were some marvelous concrete animals and many Statues of Movie characters. We had breakfast at the restaurant which was clean and well-managed, staff there were friendly and efficient . The food was great .After our meal we had seen all there was to see in about 1 1/2 hours so requested the resort call for cabs to take us back to town .
Over an hour and several phone calls later the cabs still hadnt arrived . After much complaining to management they offered to transport our party (for a fee of course) back into Davao .
The bus they supplied, was modern and air-conditioned, but the driver decided on taking a short cut, down a road that was clearly signposted "closed to through traffic ." When he came to the closed section and couldn't get through he had to back up about 300m to turn around.
The resort has a great deal of potential with lovely gardens lots of on site atractions. what we saw of the accomodation looked clean and comfortable , but to shut everything down for maintainance in the Christmas rush period must have been the boo boo of all time . If I were to contemplate another visit I would phone first to make sure that everything was open ..

For an hour or two, we just dropped by in this resort as part of our city itinerary. We had our lunch in the resort’s restaurant… pretty good food but slow service. With your entrance fee of 50php, the free shuttle around the resort could do you the favor of seeing the whole resort without walking under the extreme afternoon heat.

It was more than 2 years when I last visited the resort. I was with my family then. That time, we just enjoyed the wavepool since the resort was still under construction.
Last month, I had a chance to visit the resort again. This time I was with some friends who just wanted to see the place. I was amazed because for only Fifty pesos, P50.00, one can already enjoy sightseeing the resort. My friends and I took the ride and we were shown around.
The resort, aside from the hotel has also cottages to accommodate tourists who wish to stay overnight or even longer. The place offers an exciting adventure especially for the kids. The place is like a wonderland that has so many human size statues of cartoon characters, super heroes, jungle animals etc.. There's also a zip line. Wall climbing and fishing, ATV and a lot more activities to spend quality time with family and friends.
My friends didn't have much time to spend during their visit, so we just had an hour tour in the resort. That was a short but a good experience, at least for a very minimal fee.
The place anyway is just about 10 minutes drive from Davao International airport. There's a little inconvenience on the trip going there as the road going to the resort is now under reconstruction.
While roaming around, I had only one thing running in my mind that time, I will bring my kids back here again. I'm sure, they will enjoy the place..

Here is my sorry tale of woe on this "resort"
Its such a pity that some of the population are happy to accept such a sorry excuse for facilities, service and customer care
We went have have a swim - 3 Adults and 1 kid.. First stop is at a security gaite where you exchange your ID for a number, you can then go into the resort car park (not the resort)
Park the car in the nearest car park to the entrance booth. There is plenty of space - security guard comes across and say oh no sir you have to park in the car park furthest from the entrance this car park is reserved for employees only
So I left the almost empty car park to move to the equally almost empty car park. Walk to the entrance booth. No one there - wait until the guard summons somone to allow us the privilege of paying them money. Mean time I spot the first of many signs telling me “no refunds given” That was a clue to what was to come
Try to pay for swimming but told this booth is only for entrance to the resort- you have to pay again for entrance to the swimming pool. So paid for the entrance and walked in the hot sun to the swimming pool - you can not take your car inside
Having already paid to come into the resort nothing is free everything is “extra” Went to pay the pool receptionist who sits behind a notice saying “all transactions are final no refunds” I pay 250 for each adult and 150 for the kid and then given a hard sell to rent a cottage for 500 peso (just wanted a swim) so after saying no to the cottage and a “tent!” she wrote out a receipt for 500 peso too much as she had forgotten the conversation 2 nanoseconds before when I said I did not want a cottage
We was given a voucher and then walked 5 paces to a security guard who checked the voucher and counted that we had paid just incase we had managed to beam down 5 extra people in the 3 meters from the reception to the guard station
He then swaps the voucher for a “ink stamp” on our wrists. I can not imagine why as the ink is non waterproof for the stamp had disappeared immediately
So at least we are in - and it all goes downhill from here
Here are the high I mean low lights
The water is so murky that you can not see your hand when it is submerged - knees and feet just vanish into the soup
The pool which is vast and shallow is made from concrete - no tiles - the concrete is started to flake. this leaves the bottom rough and its easy to scrape a foot or other body part on it
There is NO shade anywhere in the pool
There are a lot of “stuff” in the pool of undetermined matter
The life guards are busy texting and there are many blind spots in the pool so watch your kids
If you have not paid for a cottage there there is no facilities available to you - no shade, no where to get changed and very very limited seating all designed to get you to pay again for facilities that should be provided for the rather steep entrance fee and after all I even had to pay so i could walk from the pay desk at the entrance gate to the pay desk at the pool
The adventure slide area is showing its age with some things not working - and the slides should have a name change to “stuck”
On the way out the other “attractions” were not manned, broken, or in a poor state
If you want to go - go quick while there is something left - but you won't see me travelling the pot holed dirt roads again to go there

To all friends who visit TripAdvisor for travel destinations, please please PLEASE avoid this place...this is not worth the 45-minute drive from Davao City, and even more unworthy of the hard-earned money you plan to spend...
This place has CRAPPY amenities but they have the GALL to charge premium for it. And do not even attempt to swim in their wave pool...it is a breeding place for bacteria and God-knows-what-other organism known or unknown to mankind...Oh by the way, they also charge you the same amount for just entering the place without swimming in the pool...
The owners of this place can be considered as crooks...definitely not a value-for-money place...
This place should be closed down as it is DIRTY, FILTHY, and EXPENSIVE...

This was our second time at D Leonors with the family.
This time the Chalet doesn't have any internet/wifi anymore. What a shame.
We came for the wave pool. That evening they didn't switch it on coz it was raining. We paid for it and didn't get what we paid for.
The next morning we tried for the wave pool again. This time we were told someone switched it off and they didn't know how to put it back on again. This time we enjoyed the pool. That excuse was poor.
We had breakfast. It was "buffet" BUT you can only pick ONE viand (from a selection of a hotdog, corned beef or fried bangus). They give u rice and salty fried eggs). They served instant coffee. No water or juice.
During this time, we brought one plastic glass from the chalet to the restaurant. Upon check-out, they charged us 350 pesos for that plastic glass that we brought to the restaurant. We are so pissed off with them. They were withholding our ID (we couldn't exit) and wouldn't let us out unless we paid for it. We went back to reception to tell them again that the cup is in the restaurant. They finally found it and let us go. 350 pesos for an ugly plastic cup. We don't even have that low quality item in our home! This is shameless. We're not coming back and not recommending it to anyone anymore.
On the other hand, the Chalet was clean. Comes with hot water and air conditioning.

I should've listened to the sorry reviews of this facility but for the benefit of the doubt, we still went. Customer service is very poor. It seemed like they hired people without proper orientation and training. So short-staffed results in terrible service. We had the suite room whose restroom stunk the most. We called for housekeeper, took forever to come with a bottle of deodorizer. The toilet was nasty. The drinking glasses in the room were filthy with grease and some finger prints. Restaurant food was okay but there were only few servers so you have to starve first before you can eat. The rides need at least 5 tickets to run. Could've been a great place if they had enough trained people to cater customers.

Very disappointing experience for me and my family. Went there last weekend and the place was under renovation. No amenities were available and we were still charge door entrance! Service is poor, transportation is difficult (no taxi!), the place feels like a ghost town! Was blinded with the ads. They should have stop showing there ads if the site was under renovation! Avoid this place!

The good points... Clean and comfortable chalets. Lots for children to do, so long as you bring plenty of money to pay!
On the other hand:
Dreadful food, additional charges for almost everything. Staff very trying... Well I guess they are simply badly trained, but they haven't a clue how to administer a large resort.
The swimming pool looks great, but mostly is only 3 feet deep which is great for the kids, but no good for swimmers.
I was really happy to leave! I never want to go there again.

Nice place but entrance fee is not including anything. Cottage charge, pool charge, everything with charge... So it ended up very expensive and we were really disappointed as this is of course not indicated anywhere on web... At least I didn't find that information. ..

Did this place ever re-open after the Covid Closure?
Are there any plans to re-open it?

Good morning po, Magkano po ang intrance fee and other fees for the wavepool per pax or other package?? thanks po..

My daughter and I were invited to visit D’Leonor Resort and In
land wavepool for a day. I wasn’t the one who paid for the entrance fee; however,
I gathered that just to enter the resort without using the pool or enjoying the zipline, it would cost 50 pesos per adult and 30 pesos per child.
