We visited this place in August 2019 and because it was rainy, it was understandably difficult to move around because of the muddy ground. But since we were there as first timers to experience picking grapes, we really did not mind.
Gapuz farm felt to be a popular destination since we were there with some other groups of pickers! hehe.
We believe that it was not the best time to harvest grapes and we were able to tell when we ate the grapes that we picked. They lack sweetness. But the experience of picking your own grapes is truly one that we will always remember.
When you visit this place, please make sure that you get your hands on the bottles of wine that they sell. We bought the grapes and the guyabano wines and we loved them. Even my grandma loved them too!

There was nothing really special aside from seeing for the first time grapes hanging on their actual vines... We were not allowed to pick grapes when we were there coz they were not ready for picking yet.
The place was quite hot, so bwear hats or bring umbrella. :)

I had a great time at the grapes farm. It's my 1st time so don't blame me if i was really giddy and excited and jumpy. Who would have thought that there is a vineyard in the PH?! So lucky to read a blog post on "what to do in La Union". Grape Picking is actually on my bucketlist :)
300Php/kg isn't that bad if you're looking for a great grape picking experience. I have had 2baskets of freshly picked grapes 🍇, left the place with a happy soul. It is indeed a happy birthday

We went on a Saturday, when the grapes were supposed to be ready for picking, but when we arrived after lunchtime, the dark purple grapes were nowhere to be found. Turned out very early that morning, 8 buses and 5 vans of tourists came picking in one go. When we arrived, there were still bunches of grapes hanging in their branches, still edible, but still green in color and not as sweet as the dark purple ones. We had to contend with buying bottles of their grape wine (delicious) and honey (good too) products. We went around taking pictures. We did not pick the grapes and they did not ask us to pay for any entrance fee. The place was very relaxing with the grape and dragonfruit plants, and the fields nearby with cows grazing. They also sell plant cuttings for those who want to try their hands in propagating grapes. Wide area for parking with minimal fee. Be careful though, if your destination is the Gapuz Grapes Farm, be aware that there are other small grape farms before you reach their place and that some people along the road (the farm is a bit far from the main highway) might try to point you to some other farms nearby. We'll try our luck next time. Btw, the road going to the farm is on the left side, just before the welcome arch of Bauang.

been there March 19,2017. it has a spacious parking area even for a large group of travelers. ambiance is so relaxing, we arrived around 1pm, it was hot but the light breeze makes it cool especially if you try to slip on the hammock. we rested for awhile before we go grape picking, the area was huge, you can easily pick the grapes because it hanged within your reach...400 for a kilo plus you can eat inside, there are also other fruits available at the entrance, there's a free taste of red wine, they sell a bottle for 200. at the back of the farm is a beach free to all the locals, we tried walking along the sea shore it has small bits of rock so you need to wear your slippers...there was also dragon fruits planted around and corn. there you will also meet George, the German rooster, he is one of the pets roaming around, the staff were so accommodating and helpful...over all it was fun and exciting...we'll be back when its time for the dragon fruit harvest.

Growing grapes is not common in the Philippines, this is a great opportunity for every visitor to see up close and personal grape plants. Their pick and pay program gives visitor the chance to personally harvest grapes at 400 pesos per kilo, reasonable price for that unique experience. Grape wines are also sold in the area. There are several grape farms along the Bauang La Union area but some are just on the backyard, small with few palnts, the Gapuz farm is one of the two big farms in the area. This is a must stop over for those travelling north.

Yes. Got there. Disappointed because the road going to the farm was bumpy and grape picking was not available. Should have someone inform guest from the outside if grape picking is available or not.

It wasn’t hard to find as it is just along the road. There are staff sitting just outside the entrance who assist guests going inside the actual farm. They are very accommodating, funny, and friendly. We had free taste of some of their wines and fruit chips they sell. It was our first time to do grape-picking and it was great! We are only to pick those grapes above the screen-like stands because the ones hanging are good for pictures. Makes sense. The staff are helpful as well. It was really cheap for 350 for 3kgs. compared to those being sold in grocery stores. And those we picked were really fresh and sweet! They also sell organic, spicy, export-quality vinegars and chili garlics in jars and bottles. They also have souvenirs like keychains and ref magnets. Overall, this side-trip when in La Union is highly recommended.

It won't take you 30 minutes to have one of the best photo ops. The vendors won't bug you to buy their grape wine and grapes. Grapes don't go all throughout the year. Glad we made it on peak season.
