I have been to three Imax theaters in Manila and Imax at SM Mall of Asia is the best so far. They have the biggest screen in the Metro. Audio is simply outstanding and clear. Seats are soft and comfortable. I would not mind commuting for an hour to get to Imax if I will get this kind of experience each and every time.

Cinema - OK quality in terms of Audio and visual - 3D glasses are good quality, Clean and well maintained by staff, Roaming security guards checking moderately while the movie is showing (which I find sometimes annoying but still OK), snacks also available for purchase. Comfort rooms are clean. My overall experience - well, enjoyed it somehow with my friends so I would rate it a solid 4.

The cinemas were only okay. But one thing I observed, don't wear jacket or any long sleeve shirt due to the low temperature of their aircon.

The seating is terrible. There are no walkways in or out other than on the ends. If a person happens to be seated in the middle he has to climb over all the people in the entire row to get out to use the restroom or go to the concession stand. The whole place was very poorly thought out and apparently designed to maximize revenue rather than creating as pleasant movie viewing experience. I'll never go back.

Wow! Wow! Wow! The food, drinks, sound system quality and of course the picture. The reclining chairs made my day. Cool, comfortable and felt brand new. No dislikes to mention (price?).

Now as far as the entertainment, you can still watch your favorite movie, even on its premier date for the price of around ($2.20) WOW. These theatres are not the old rink a dink ones; they normally features IMAX and brilliant screens. As far as the snacks; they are also inexpensive. We took about 8 kids to the movies and fed them including ourselves (two adults) it came to less than $50 (movie included) Again, these can be found in the SM and Robinson Malls. We took a trip to Palawan and rented a hotel for three days. We hired a boat and went island hopping. We traveled to about 6 islands to do sightseeing and scuba diving. This costed us about $300 for the whole excursion which also included an outdoors meal on the beach at night. I was impressed on how the seafoods were displayed We only had to view the fresh fishes and lobsters and other seafood that were laid out on the tables, whatever we chose was placed on the grill and cooked. We enjoyed the music and ate until we were full. Now a bit about Palawan; it boasts to be one of the safest places to vacation. One could literally forget an item in a taxi, and it would be returned to them posthaste. The crime there was almost non-existence. All because of the strict policy of the mayor and police chief; to attract more tourists. My trip was in the early months of 2018; so I am unaware of any current changes of crime statistics Now I know the women may be concerned about the shopping, but I will cover that in my next article -Shop till You Drop-. Between the constant rustling of paper from the bags of popcorn, the never ending talking of the audience, phones ringing and the conversations that followed. I’d have to say it’s the worst movie experience I’ve had.

Watched Wonder Woman at 8 pm tonight. Horrible experience.
1.First there was no information as to where e-ticket holders should go. Showed the email to the guard (who was the only person asides from the cashier attendant we could ask at the time) who told us to queue up at the cashier. So we did thinking we would be issued paper tickets, only to find out there was a separate e-ticket holder queue where we only needed to show the reservation code.
2.The toilets were clean but had no toilet paper or soap. Had to ask the attendant who eventually after some time came back with a refill for the dispenser.
3.My daughter bought butter flavored popcorn which didn't taste like butter and had such a bad after-taste
4. I agree with the other reviewer regarding the lack of aisles in between the seats. There are 44 seats in a row. The seats are also too close to the screen We were in row H30-32 and found that we had to keep adjusting as you could not see the screen properly. We were in the 8th out of 14 rows.
5. And lastly it was so hot that we were perspiring and our 3D glasses fogged up several times. We were wearing thin shirts/tops and were very uncomfortable. The lounge waiting area was also quite stuffy. They had some mist/cooler fans out but still wasn't enough. After the movie we went to the administration office to ask what was the temperature setting and we were told that the maximum setting is 24 degrees centigrade. Now bear in mind this was an almost fully packed theater with no less than 400 people in it. We said this was unacceptable and it had made what was supposed to be a good movie experience a very unpleasant one. The supervisor then reasoned that it was being dealt with and that it was centrally controlled by the mall operations. Still not an acceptable excuse/reason.
I would think twice about wasting good money to watch in this theater. It is obviously designed to generate as much money as possible and doesn't really take into account the moviegoers comfort.
