Good Korean Spa
4.0 of 5 bubblesApr 2023
Traveling to Manila multiple times before, I’ve always made it a point to enjoy a day at a Korean Spa. Prior to Covid, Wensha Spa use to operate 24/7. I’m glad they survived lockdown, and it seems that they’ve made improvements with the decorations, lighting, and upgrades to the facility. What I use to do with my traveling group was spend 5 hours of 5 different treatments which would normally include a facial, body massage, foot massage, body scrub, mani/pedi and services includes a complimentary dinner buffet! You can also customize your treatment package. After much debate, I was initially too embarrassed to go all bare, a bit too exposing around my friends. Just give in. When in Rome. Plus everyone is doing it! The korean spa's full-body scrub exfoliation will also leave your skin glowing and incredibly soft. I will warn you that when you receive a body massage, you will get complete body stretching at the end, only to find yourself thrown completely up in the air using all your masseuses body strength! My only disappointment’s and surprised that the water in the “Hot Tub” was filled with lukewarm water. Top that off with showers that also had lukewarm water as well. Although you’re in a tropical climate country, it’s a bit refreshing. some may appreciate it. But for most, you’d like to be in a jacuzzi instead. The funniest moment was that my other half’s work colleague recognized him as we were in the dining hall! Such a small world!. Located in Pasay City just off of Roxas Blvd near World Trade Center. Very close to Makati and other popular hotels. Good place to visit this while visiting Manila.

We have been going to this spa for many years. Its only endearing feature is the quality of the masseurs; they are exceptional. However, the standards elsewhere have steadily and consistently declined. The food is now very limited. Clearly there are areas gradually being improved but it is too fragmented and too late. The overall spa experience is now virtually non-existant. We only do there for massage.

An old run down place not ideal for relaxation - not worth your money. Receptionists and assistants are not friendly and accommodating. They simply just want yo get things over and done with you. One of the assistants in the steam bath even told us to hurry because there are more people coming. The jacuzzi was not working, just a pool of cloudy water.

The buffet area doesn’t look appetizing and food served were bland and very limited choices of 3 viands only. They only serve water for drinks and no coffee. As for the massage, they will put you in a common room of up to 12 persons. It was ok for us as a group of 6 but I don’t think it would be a pleasant experience for someone who will go there for an alone time. The only good thing is that the masseuse assigned to me was really good.

Type of visit: solo (male)
Time of visit: 8pm to 10:30pm
Date: September 4, 2022
Price: 1/5
Massage: 3/5
Facilities: 2/5
First, they will charge you for aroma therapy massage without giving you the aroma oil. There is no option to get just the basic massage or atleast they wont tell you. They had a price increase since pre pandemic which is understandable but services, facilities and amenities were not as good as before.
The dry sauna has been closed for a very very long time. Instead of having a massage in a room for two or three, now its a common hall for atleast 12 people. The male and female massage area used to be separate. Privacy and ambiance has been compromised. It is not a relaxing setting at all! The shabu shabu is no longer inclusive. The massage has deteriorated. I used to like this place a lot which is very sad.

No to wensha.

I’ve been in Wensha a lot of times with family and friends before the pandemic hit the country. I liked its ambience and service. Longing for a satisfying massage, I took my husband to Wensha Pasay for a walk-in package. We paid for a whoping 2,800 for a 1-hour massage supposedly inclusive of amenities like sauna, steam bath, jacuzzi and buffet - same package cost almost half the price pre-pandemic. However, disappointments showed as we approached the reception. I had a hard time paying through gcash because of bad network/signal/connection. They don’t accept cards - considering that cashless transactions are highly recommended since COVID. We arrived at around 6:00 pm, just in time for dinner. But to more disappointment, there was nothing much left in the buffet area - only rice, tofu, ginisang upo and calderetang baboy na buto-buto. We waited for almost an hour for the management to serve the refill, they added pancit. No more drinks, just tap water. No more free-flowing brewed coffee, no more shabu-shabu like before - you now have to pay a separate bill for these. I got so disappointed I asked to cancel and get my money back since we haven’t started eating yet. The receptionist said that I can no longer cancel and that food is being served continuously until 10pm. He didn’t do so much at all, just asked me to wait and left me to entertain other guests. I didn’t want to get more upset anymore, so I just vented my frustration out to my husband and went back to the buffet area. We started filling our plates around 7:30 pm with the dishes available - tofu, caldereta, rice and pancit. Few minutes later, they added undercooked chicken adobo (prepared very poorly - small feathers still visible in the drumstick). Our dinner must have cost just around 200 for the 2 of us. Terrible food- worst buffet ever!

The sauna room was not available, steam bath was too hot I cannot even sit in the tile bench, water in the jacuzzi looks a little cloudy.

Massage was okay, but it doesn’t feel like the relaxing wensha massage i had before anymore. Too light even after asking for a more pressure.

We’ll boycott wensha until it is restored to its former glory - bigger dining space and cozier set-up like in 2016, buffet inclusive of more food choices with salad and sushi, shabu-shabu, free juice drinks and free-flowing brewed coffee, with serviceable amenities, enough hygiene and beauty kits, well-trained personnel/managers who are available to assist guests and better signal reception

I bought our tickets in Metrodeal for only 756 pesos each and we just added 495 pesos for the shabu shabu. It's really a great place where you can relax. They have Sauna and what I like the most is the 1hr massage it was so relaxing. There are also variety of Filipino foods and it's even unlimited. I also love the ambiance there. 🙂 Thank you Wensha Spa

This place needs a renovation.
It's old run down place.
And expensive.
The buffet is not worth it and no free ice tea.
I can eat at caballen for P600 and go to Asian massage and get a massage for P400.

I was charged a whopping P1400 for a body wash that lasted for 8 minutes and so not worth it, the massage that I got he just used his knuckles to pain Ng feet which I thought was gonna be crushed I kept saying ouch ouch ouch several times because it was painfull.

I didn't enjoy my experience in this spa. It wasn't relaxing.
At all.

I bought voucher from Metrodeal 10 days before the specific day we wish to.i called and text on 2 cp# but no one answer and replied.Even on fb page.
And we went there we are 3,i asked the receptionist and she said we dont have an appointment she would accept our voucher if would like to add 499 for shabu set.So we add so that we can start.
The sp massage lounge area is so noisy u can relax in fairness the therapist is good.
The Shabu set is more on vegetable and chicken 100grams and 4kinds of balls only.
