Not worth it! Everything's with pay. They won't allow you to use your phone inside because they are also charging 200 pesos per photo using their camera.
You won't also be allowed on ice slide if you will not buy their gloves for 150 pesos. Pangit sa loob. Super small space.

When we bought the ticket, there was no indication that we will need black gloves (made of cloth) and ear pods to be able to do the activities inside, so we had to purchase said items at a wooping price of 300 pesos, and NO RECEIPT was issued to us for this purchase. If only I have known, I would not have bought a ticket in the first place. Also, the picture taking inside is not free. We had to pay 200 pesos for the photo without being issued a receipt as well.
So, overall, it wasn't really a great experience. It was freezing cold inside though. There's really no snow, it's more of a lot of ice and a very cold temperature. The place could have been further beautified.
Lesson Learned: Ask details before buying and availing services

The old star city is gone. I can see by how the new star city is rebuilt. The space is small. The rides are so close with each other. Food has never been a wow here.
I love the musical play and snow world.
I remember, we waited for almost 3 hours for a horror train not knowing that it was just a five minute-activity. I though it really was a train adventure but NOOO, it was just a virtual train activity. The activities are only up to 8 pm even on Saturdays and Sundays.
Don't see myself really coming back anytime soon.

Had a really unpleasant experience. Wala na silang binibigay na wrist tag so nung nawala yung ticket namin sa snow world, hindi na kami nakapasok.
Additional burden sa consumer na kelangan pang may hawak na papel. Mas ok sana kung ibalik wrist tag. less hassle

The place is very accessible for commuters. It's near Cultural Center of the Philippines along Roxas Boulevard. It's a typical amusement park, though a bit crowded so prepare to spend your time falling in line. But the tickets are quite affordable compare to the other theme parks. I guess, you really just have to choose wisely which ride you will try first to maximize your time.

Sayang ang pera. Sobrang haba ng pila sa mga rides kasi kulang na kulang ang mga attractions
Snow World was a scam. Slide lang yung pwede mong gawin and they charge you for everything

Popular amusement park with many rides for the kids and the usual amusement park food stalls. Loads of families with kids, who seemed to be having a ball. Not much here for adults, except maybe for Snow world, which doesn't have actual snow, just chipped ice. A popular novelty for Filipinos, as most have never seen actual snow.

If you plan to include snow world in your itinerary, please skip it and just try Art Alive or other attractions. It was not worth it! You need to buy socks, gloves and masks (freezing inside). And if you're not wearing proper shoes, you need to rent one of those worn out plastic shoes. While the hoodie jacket is free, it was filthy and itchy and you would see the staff spray lysol on it because they weren't wash. Now, I understand why they will fine you with 5k when you take pics because there's really none.

We were drawn to this attraction by their website which looked so promising and interesting. However, when we visited the place, it was purely disappointment after each disappointment 😕 The place opens at 4pm mon-thu and 2pm fri-sun. Admission is 70 pesos, but they have this ride-all-you-can offer for 450 pesos inclusive of the admission fee hence, we got that plus 150 pesos for the snow world (I was so excited for this and expected nothing but fun and beauty)
PROS:
1. Cheap
2. Close to other attractions like Ocean Park and Mall of Asia
3. Reasonable number of rides and arcade games to choose from including these games where you hit a goal and win a soft toy
CONS:
1. Unsafe rides! Some of their major rides are obviously so unsafe and dodgy, aside from they are creaking and rusty, they look like they lack maintenance and safety features like seat belts/safety belts and bar guards. The most shocking is that their main ride which is some sort of a roller coaster is standing on pieces of ply wood and wood piled together 😱 Totally risky and terrifying, who knows if those are already rotten or how stable they really are. We all know that a good foundation in everything is a must.
2. Not all rides and arcade games are open and available as soon the place starts business, no one at their ticket and token booths inside the park as well considering their over flowing number of staff who are more interested in talking to each other and entertaining themselves rather than serving the customers. We wanted to do the shooting thing as soon as we entered but none of their 3 shooting booths were set up and ready 😳 One of their water rides which was the Pirate Adventure was still not open and operating at 5pm. Also, for some rides, they wait until it's full!
3. Poor concept and execution on some of their attractions like the Time Tunnel, with a video being played which you can't even see clearly.
4. Snow world is nothing but ice sculptures and a lame ice slide (I stopped twice while on the slide because it wasn't slipper enough and had to push myself to start moving again). They'll offer you gloves and ear muffs which you have to pay for 50 pesos each! I reckon they should be free and just return them after. All they give you is a jacket that is not thick enough to keep you warm and doesn't even close.
5. Staff are so snob and seem to be so lazy to answer queries or explain the mechanics, safety guidelines and rules. (Everytime i ask the lady at the token booth questions she just looks at me with what the f face and point on things instead of talking to me. Also, at the shooting booth, the guy didn't even tell me how to operate the gun, he just left the bullets on the table like as if everyone who goes there has already been there and knows what they're doing. Mechanics wasn't also explained to my partner so of course we ended up not winning anything. Oh and wait there's more, I asked this lady at the shoe rental desk at snow world what sort of shoes are allowed and not allowed just so we know if need to rent one or not. She raised her eyebrows and rolled her eyes on me and said "Those shoes are fine" in a rude tone.
TIP: If you are really into theme parks go to Enchanted Kingdom instead, it's about an hour drive outside Manila but totally worth it! Way more attractions, safer rides and friendly staff. Plus you can take the chance to explore the town where it is located as well while you are there.
NOTE: If going around Manila, better to download the app GRAB and use it book taxis instead of just getting random ones. Way safer and they don't over charge you, plus, you receive an e-receipt for every ride. Although it does have a 40 peso booking fee, it's nothing compared to your safety.

I have been accused of being “hard” on Philippine attractions. It might be true, but only because of the “acceptable” quality (or lack thereof) of things to do. There is nothing “world class” – you will often hear that everything is “good enough”. Philippines tourism is domestic, meaning that activities cater to Filipinos and not foreigners, hence the lack of world class attractions. Read trip advisor for the top 15 attractions and you will see every review riddled with complaints … mostly from foreigners. And yes, this is another LONG review ….
On a Sunday, our party of five including two children (14 and 12) went to Star City. We traveled 2 hours by bus but could not get an early start because StarCity doesn’t open until 2pm!! This makes for a rough Sunday for kids who have school Monday as we didn’t arrive home until 11pm.
Here goes …. Starting with THE GOOD:
1. Although trash cans were few and far between, they were regularly being emptied, and none that I noticed were overflowing. They could use more trashcans around the ride entrances.
2. There are quite a few rides/activities for a relatively small admission price. The quality however, isn’t going to impress a foreigner who has ever been to a mobile carnival in the US.
3. Even though the park was crowded, the walkways had enough room to easily get around EXCEPT where the major lines formed.
4. The Roller Coaster was excellent, but waiting 1.5 hours in the hot sun wasn’t fun. The line wrapped around the ride like an unmanageable snake. It is a nice ride with two upside-down rolls and a corkscrew.
5. If you have kids and live or stay near, Star City could be a good regular activity. It is something to do, and in general the kids will enjoy getting out and running around.
6. There is no food allowed through the gates, but they did allow me to bring in my already-opened bottle of water, which was appreciated.
7. Snow world was “interesting”; the ice sled ride scared me as I thought I was going to fall out of the sled and hit the concrete blocks. But sledding on ice was a new experience for me.
8. When one of our party fell while exiting a ride, two staff members did approach to see if ok and tell where clinic was. We were surprised as the staff was generally so uninvolved.
9. We ate only at outdoor food stalls and it was acceptable. I had bbq pork on sticks … and 80% of it was good for a very reasonable 35p. There is an inside “food court” area with tables and chairs that would give you a nice rest while you ate.
And now some of THE BAD:
1. Doesn’t open until 2pm on weekends!! Where is the logic in opening so late on the weekend? (Management trying to save labor costs, not realizing how trivial that costs really in comparison to the revenue of opening at 10am)
2. There is almost no seating outdoors, which others have included in their reviews. Sitting and resting, or waiting for someone who is in one of the long lines can be quite uncomfortable.
3. Terrible long lines, also included in other reviews. Kids lost interest because of the wait. Activities with no wait were not included in “all you can ride” pass and required additional payment --- climbing wall, water ball, etc. – and that drew kids attention because of no waiting.
4. Sales promos don’t match reality. Snow World video promotion shows visitors posing with and taking pictures in front of all the ice sculptures. However this was far from the truth, as cameras were banned with a 5000p penalty. Plus, the video of the “snow” was beautiful; the actual snow was disgusting.
5. Too many paid “midway” games throughout the park.
6. The bumper cars at Star city allowed for SEVEN cars at a time. A typical US carnival would have 20-25. That increases the wait 300%.
7. The queue area for some of the rides (like bumper cars) was so tight, that you almost felt claustrophobic. Plus, it was uncomfortable for the slightly overweight in our group.
8. There was NO walking management; staff were on their own and they knew it. There was no one to check on them or discipline them, or witness their bad attitudes.
9. There are a few “walk-through” activities involving cartoon-type characters. But the places are dark. That may have been ok 20 years ago, but NOW everyone wants to take selfie (pictures) in front of each cartoon character. And most of the pictures look terrible because of the darkness. The darkness adds nothing. Fill it with light and let people spend their time taking pictures.
10. There are no lockers; whatever you bring in – you will carry all day.
11. There was a lack of signage which made getting around slightly difficult.
12. No tissue/napkins at outdoor food stalls.
And finally, THE UGLY:
1. Uncaring, unappreciative staff with no smiles. But if you have read the reviews here on tripadvisor, you would have already read that in 10 other reviews!! And nothing is being done, so that should tell you something about the management of this park.
2. I asked why certain things weren’t being done properly and an employee admitted they were “short staffed”. Short staffed??? In a country with 27% unemployment? Again, that tells me management problems – they are purposely not hiring enough people to operate the park.
3. Most famous ride – roller coaster was not operating at opening time; it did open later, and then had 1.5 hour waits.
4. After riding the water-log ride, we went to the photo booth to buy our picture. We were told you have to go pay “over dere”. Where, we asked?? “over dere” and the staff pointed off in the distance. We found the person we had to pay sitting on a midway ride, with a ticket book and change. No sign, no cashier booth – just an unhappy employee writing receipts and taking money while saying as few words as possible.
THE END. :)
Tip: make sure you have enough money; atm is at the entrance and it is a long walk to go back just to get more money from the atm
TIP: warn your kids that many items, games and activities are not included. Set a budget of what they can spend and let them know. That will save problems while in the park.
TIP: Bring wet wipes, napkins, or tissue or something similar for cleaning hands.
WOULD I GO AGAIN? Yes, StarCity is NOT terrible – but it has many shortcomings. I would take people there again, but I would be prepared for the issues I have mentioned. They need a new management team and a full crew change to eliminate the bad energy from the staff. Uncaring, unhappy staff makes all of the small issues seem so much larger.

There are a few different options. None of the entrance fees include the price of popular attractions like Snow World, Lazer Blaster, or Art Alive. If I remember right, the ride all you can entrance fee is 450 pesos per person.
