During our last few days in the Philippines, my husband and I decided to come here (I am a new Zealand national and my husband is from India). The museum did a fantastic job of transporting us to various regions in the Philippines. Each provides interesting facts, and each showcases a unique cuisine. You can try your hand at selling dirty ice cream or carrying the "Taho" in this interactive museum. You can purchase some of the popular street eats in the inside retail establishment. As a thank-you, they treated us to a fantastic traditional dance. Tears welled up in my eyes because this museum inspired such a strong sense of patriotism and a realization that I have a good right to be proud of my heritage.

The installations added were colorful, vibrant and perfect not only for Instagram fans but for families who love to take photos for souvenirs.

The first time I saw this Lakbay Museo I got curious because there are lots of peole entering the establishment. The curious feeling I have got ended this last two days after I visited the "Lakbay Museo." It's all about of Philippine attractions, Filipino foods and local culture. The museum makes sense of having an effort to gather all the facts about the Philppines and its best attractions at huge spaces in S-Maison Conrad. I love their local details from displays to souvenirs. Every corner is instagrammable. Worthy for picture-taking. Staffs are friendly, and attentive to visitors. One thing that I want to share is the token that we owned is color yellow. The tokens are distinguished by its colours. Others are color pink. I'm not satisfied with their freebies (which is your token will exchange into a food / freebies). 3 tokens consist of one toothpick a small bite of food. In 1 sheet of paper you're only have 12 tokens so meaning you'll gonna have 4 toothpicks with small bite of food while taking pictures inside the museum. Our ticket costs 699php which I cannot find and I cannot feel the value on freebies. How I wish they'll not have this kind of freebies or make some plan to make it better. More and more visitors will be happy for taking pictures inside the museum but it will bring you unsatisfied on freebies.

Every details are amazing, specially the food, they look authentic. One can really learn a lot if they pay close attention but it's more likely created for photo ops. The place is small but every space is maximize with different Philippine culture. They have free taste for different vinegars and lambanog. You can buy Filipino snacks using their chips given at the entrance. There's a cultural show too, maybe it's better if there's some few intro or narrative to the different folk dance at the start of the performance to make it more educational.

It seems to me that it’s a good place to see a lot of Philippine culture altogether but at the same time it also feels that it’s totally created for photo ops. The great point is that it is interactive but it does not present a lot of opportunities to be educational because if you were a foreigner, the most learning you can get is from the labels of various things you would see, but you won’t necessarily remember those names and especially without explanations. It’s a good experience though just to see all those things together in one place and also that there’s opportunities to try local food. The local wines corner is great.

Lakbay Museo is an amazing place to learn about Filipino culture and food. Be sure to bring a camera, as there is an endless amount of picture opportunities. The employees are super friendly and professional. We had a great time and will recommend this place to family and friends.
