Over the years, I have shopped at Balikbayan dozens of times. Aside from one bad experience noted in a previous review, I usually have had positive shopping here. They have lots of unique items that can't be found in other handicraft shops. My main disappointment over the years, is that their showroom has steadily shrunk from four floors to three and now to the current two. Although they say the selection of items is as extensive as ever, it's unfortunately not true. Also, one suggestion would be for them to provide nice gift boxes (could be at added cost) as many of the items are being purchased for gifts, but the packaging is often rather simple. On the plus side, they now have gorgeous bags for purchases... very attractive!

This was a great place to go to get gifts to bring home! Returning to Manila after a 41 year absence, my sisters, friends and I headed here for some shopping and were greeted with helpful clerks and fantastic choices with great prices. We visited several times during our 2 week stay and all of our purchases were packed well for our flights back home.

Every time I return to the Philippines it is obligatory to visit this famous store that offers so many top-quality Filipino handicrafts. The staff was accommodating and friendly. A good place to refer to tourist friends.

This place is fascinating and stocks some amazing products relevant to the Philippines!

One stop shop from souvenirs items up to home furnitures. All made from the Philippines with an excellent touch of craftmanship. From sales people to counter staff are all accomodating. Should never be missed in a bucket list of shopping.🌍😉🇵🇭
