I’m spending a month working in Manila so was on the look out for a good yoga studio.
Really pleased I found this one.
They have a good timetable
Lovely facilities
Excellent standard of teaching
It’s all in English
I felt very welcome here and would definitely recommend it.
I got a 2 week intro to yoga unlimited pass for 800 pesos, the deal wasn’t on the website so go in and ask what options they have if you’re around for more than a couple of days.
Otherwise they do single class passes.

I've been doing yoga only for over a month now. The previous studio that I had been to is nice but I decided to try other studios to see what they are offering. I attended my first class last night (Jivamukti Open) and it certainly didn't disappoint. It was my bad to not catch the name of the male instructor but he is nice and approachable. He met us (first-timers in the studio/beginners) to orient us about Jivamukti.
The place is neat and the staff are really friendly, especially the receptionist. Will definitely go back for more classes.
PS Don't forget to try the Kombucha drink that they are selling!

Lerry,
Thank you very much for your feedback! I'm glad you liked the class, the staff and our studio. The instructor's name is Jann. He substituted for Nancy who teaches this class regularly but who was sick that day. I'm sure you would like Nancy's class too :)
I hope you can try the other classes too and let me know what your experience is like. Your comments are very valuable to us and I will make sure to relay this to our receptionist (Ann), the teacher and even the Kombucha supplier (he happens to be our Head Instructor and his name is Ryan. You can catch him in Makati on Mondays).
Next time you're in Makati, please come and say hi. I'm usually in the office :) Would love to meet you in person.
Namaste,
Dinah Salonga

I decided to continue my yoga practice in this studio after I enjoyed attending yoga classes in the US last summer break. What I really like in Yoga+ is the practice. The teachers really follow the no bringing of mobile phones for the students inside the room compared with other studios. Yoga is a mindful movement so it's better to be practice with no distraction. The teachers are all friendly even the people at the front desk always welcome you with a smile. The two yoga rooms are always clean even after a hot yoga class since they use a different type of heater. They provide yoga mat, bath towel and some toiletries in the bathroom. I highly recommend this studio for all yogi levels since they have many classes to choose from.

It's a great place to practice yoga, with its expansive and airy rooms, complete shower facilities and very friendly staff. They provide mats and towels, so it's quite convenient for those who want to try yoga on a whim.

I've been doing the rounds of yoga - from shallahs in houses of yoga teachers (I loved our quaint shallah in Bela Lipat's house in San Lorenzo in the late 90s but she alas she has moved overseas). Then I moved around from studio to studio, picking up mixed up techniques, then I moved to the US and tried the yoga in the gym and was disappointed (gyms are not really the best place to learn it).
Then I heard from a friend about a new yoga studio opening in BGC. I tried it out - it was terrific! Nice facilities and good teachers but traffic from my place in CBD to BGC made it inconvenient for me. So imagine my delight when they opened in the heart of Makati CBD! Yey!
I like a lot of things about this studio - being able to access the teacher schedules via an app on my phone (cool!), towels and manduca mats (I just bring my shorts), alkaline water (I have GERD so that helps).
I love the fact that the windows look out to the tree branches so it feels like I'm at home in the province. But what trumps the other places I went to are the great teachers! I love the yin classes of Clarice and Dinah, the ashtanga classes of Neil, the flow classes of Aiza (challenging). I love the fact that the teachers hang around after the sessions to chat with me and ask how I'm doing. I also appreciate that they don't force me to go into positions that I'm not comfortable with. As someone who has a lot of hurts and getting in on the years - that's important.
It's a bit pricey - but hey, I take advantage of their promos. And besides - I used to spend a lot more going my sleep doctor, orthopedic doctor and physical therapist and their corresponding prescriptions. But nothing takes away the aches and pains or makes me sleep better than a good yoga session here.

Dear Carlos,
Thank you for your review! We really appreciate your comments about our classes, facilities and teachers. I will make sure that the teachers you mentioned will receive your feedback. And yes we need to tell more people about yoga and its therapeutic benefits. I'm sure your review will help in doing just that.
Hope to see you again soon!
