About
The 'mother of all parks' in Baguio city, the summer capital of the Philippines, is a 32.84-hectare park designed by, and named after, American architect and urban planner Daniel Hudson Burnham, who also designed the original plan for Baguio City as well as Dewey Boulevard (now Roxas Boulevard) in Manila. The park has 12 main areas, the most popular of which are the Burnham Lagoon, a man-made lake with rowboats for hire; a children's playground; a skating rink; the Rose Garden and the Picnic Grove.

- ZaiWorld211 contributionsNice parkA very nice park in the middle of Baguio City, had my first taste of the strawberry Taho here which was very delicious. The park can get very crowded, especially at night. But at the same time I find it to be very enjoyable at night as the weather gets cooler also. If you're looking for a quiet and peaceful park, this may not be for you. If you're in Baguio City, visit this park.Visited December 2019Written January 28, 2020
- chia-huiBaguio, Philippines5 contributionsBurnham tripBurnham park is a popular place where tourists always wanted to visit. Burnham park is where you can spend some of your time lying on those grass and sighting the beautiful sky of Baguio. Burnham park will be a good place of people of Baguio/tourists know how to throw their own garbages. And Burnham park management should alot trash bins around the burnham park so that it will maintain its cleanliness and the beauty of it. This 2021 they made Burnham park such a fine destinations by putting some lights and everunight theres a band singing songs for free. But as pandemic happen few people are their walking, jogging, biking. A must visit in Baguio.Visited March 2020Traveled with friendsWritten February 21, 2021

A clean park where you can sit and relax. There are lots of snacks nearby and activities too. You can get a massage, henna tattoo, go on a boat ride etc.

One of the most overcrowded place to go in baguio whether you will go morning or night, there is no place for you to park because of many people go here. But you must not miss the night market just in front of Burnham Park

Burnham Park is in the centre of Baguio and is named after the USA architect David Burnham. The lagoon that has rides in boats that look like swans are very popular. There are signs up forbidding massage, but women and men take no notice and offer you massages. There is also a children's park. It is free to enter.

We enjoyed our walk since we couldn't book a boat. Too many people during our visit. Literally crowded in all areas of the Park.

Quite a bit to see and do for the whole family. When we visited it was super crowded, but that made it much more interesting and fun when we rented bikes and tricycles. The bike paths were super chaotic with kids counter-flowing and people crashing which was also actually pretty fun 😂. Nice park for a date, picnic, or just a place to chill.

Nice big park at the center of town. It has a small lake where you can rent a boat to paddle around. Rent a bicycle or find a shaded area just to sit and people watch. Take the kids to the children park so they can play on all the slides and swings. Make sure to check out the Orchardium if you're a plant lover.

I arrived at Baguio City 3:30 in the morning. Since it was still too early for the hostel check-in I visited burnham park and roam around the park to relax. The place is too quiet and I enjoyed it. I went back in the afternoon to fulky enjoy the place.

it's a fact. you've not actually been to baguio if you have not explored burnham park. when i was still working in this city, i would while my time away in this place. i could become oblivious to the crowd by just sitting on one of the benches facing the man-made lagoon, observing people from different walks of life who were trying desperately to manoeuvre themselves on the murky waters while i enjoyed sipping a glassful of strawberry tahô i bought from a nearby ambulant vendor. sometimes, i got to be asked to take someone's group picture. at times, when boredom struck, i volunteered to shoot couples who struggled with their selfies.
we frequent burnham now as a family during our quick visits to baguio. my son would go biking sometimes or eat street foods from nearby stalls. this is a great place for bonding with family members, friends or a special someone with no entrance fee.

Well if you are travelling with 4 kids and its been awhile since you have done physical exercises, i would suggest that you drink an energy drink and have a ibuprofen medicine (for body aches) ready before you go to burnham park.... Just kidding!!!
Generally speaking the park is so alive, its full of activities. The huge park is a round about for vehicles at the busy center of Baguio. Once you enter the park there are a lot of trees, plants, small groups of people sitting on the ground enjoying the afternoon breeze, the lake and then as you move along you will notice is the tribikes / bikes for rent that you can use to drive around the park. So once my toddler, preschooler and grader saw the tribikes all of them wanted to ride one and Daddy has to drive it...... so that's when the energy drink becomes handy.....
Biking around the park is relatively safe since the park road is exclusively use for the bikes and pedestrians only. The tribike route roams around the lake and my passenger kids could easily see the paddle boats. So after biking the kids rushed to ride a paddle boat and daddy has to row the boats..... remember the ibuprofen?
