About
The 'mother of all parks' in Baguio city, the summer capital of the Philippines, is a 32.84-hectare park designed by, and named after, American architect and urban planner Daniel Hudson Burnham, who also designed the original plan for Baguio City as well as Dewey Boulevard (now Roxas Boulevard) in Manila. The park has 12 main areas, the most popular of which are the Burnham Lagoon, a man-made lake with rowboats for hire; a children's playground; a skating rink; the Rose Garden and the Picnic Grove.

We chose to do the biking one and it was cheap for almost an hour. After visiting many times, it was my first time doing this activity. Burnham Park is also improving the same as the other tourist attractions in Baguio. Now, they had a lot of food stalls nearby while biking in the area. They also keep the surroundings clean every time.Visited October 2023Traveled with friendsWritten November 20, 2023

I had to laugh when they asked if we wanted to hire a man to row us around—no thanks, I've got this! It’s all good, I can handle the oars. A perfect spot for family fun and a few good laughs!Visited April 2024Traveled with friendsWritten June 30, 2024

Avoid this park during holidays. Compared to our previous visits, this park is now super crowded and more commercialized.
Now you can't even have a quiet time to relax and have a picnic at the side.
There's a lot of trash everywhere. Hope the government of Baguio will do the clean up and consistent monitoring of the park.
Even the toilets have fees, but it's not clean.

it's a fact. you've not actually been to baguio if you have not explored burnham park. when i was still working in this city, i would while my time away in this place. i could become oblivious to the crowd by just sitting on one of the benches facing the man-made lagoon, observing people from different walks of life who were trying desperately to manoeuvre themselves on the murky waters while i enjoyed sipping a glassful of strawberry tahô i bought from a nearby ambulant vendor. sometimes, i got to be asked to take someone's group picture. at times, when boredom struck, i volunteered to shoot couples who struggled with their selfies.
we frequent burnham now as a family during our quick visits to baguio. my son would go biking sometimes or eat street foods from nearby stalls. this is a great place for bonding with family members, friends or a special someone with no entrance fee.

Nice big park at the center of town. It has a small lake where you can rent a boat to paddle around. Rent a bicycle or find a shaded area just to sit and people watch. Take the kids to the children park so they can play on all the slides and swings. Make sure to check out the Orchardium if you're a plant lover.

Burnham Park is located right at the center of Baguio's business district. You can pass through it while strolling around. People tend to jog around during dawn and dusk. Good thing, it is well-maintained (probably also because of the recent holiday season and the upcoming Panagbenga festival).
There are lots of benches where people can rest and relax. Snacks can be bought from kiosks and vendors scattered, although they tend to stay in front of Rose Garden. Don't forget to try their Strawberry Taho!

Quite a bit to see and do for the whole family. When we visited it was super crowded, but that made it much more interesting and fun when we rented bikes and tricycles. The bike paths were super chaotic with kids counter-flowing and people crashing which was also actually pretty fun 😂. Nice park for a date, picnic, or just a place to chill.

Burnham Park is in the centre of Baguio and is named after the USA architect David Burnham. The lagoon that has rides in boats that look like swans are very popular. There are signs up forbidding massage, but women and men take no notice and offer you massages. There is also a children's park. It is free to enter.

Burnham Park was fun to get to visit and roam around. I was by myself when I visit the park, enjoying the beauty of the vicinity with a perfect cold weather. Surprisingly I saw my college friend there and was able to bond with her. I really enjoyed this trip with my college friend. What small world to see her in this place my long time no see friend. 😊
