We enjoyed our visit here. It was a great chance to learn about the history of Trujillo, and understand more of colonial life, I enjoyed the artwork, and the mahogany desk of Simon Bolivar. The tour is free-- worth a stop!

The "casa" tour of Trujillo is over-rated. I'd not bother going out of my way to visit these buildings. A simple quick peek inside is good enough.

A lovely and grand Colonial mansion with beautiful courtyards. Free admission, and currently owned by a bank (I think). A nice quick diversion to imagine a way of life in times gone by.
