Well layed out, informative musuem with an overview of the history of Oman. The archaeilogical site is a work in progress with hopefully more signage in the future.

Although there is not too much in this museum, it is beautifully curated and set out! I would recommend a stop in here to get a feel for the area's history.

This museum offers more than what the name suggests. Well documented but concise history of Oman. Also maritime museum has a lot to offer. However, if you have visited the National Museum in Muscat before you will not get too many additional insights. Also outdoors...More

Nice expozition, UNESCO World Natual Heritage. Dhofar, Al Baleed we visited by electrical car so we could see all Archaeological park in our free afternoon. We admired mosques, gates, breakwaters that are missing at this time on the hotel beach. We had also enough time...More

Excellent exhibition lots of useful information. Shame we were not allowed to take photos without flash, it would be nice to remember it all. I would encourage all to visit this museum it is full of information. The frankincense brought at the shop are excellent...More

Albleed is s delightful park with ruins that show interesting history of the Middle East and Oman especially. A recommended visit if you are in Salalah for Khareef season or for the beach season.

Hi, Sorry I cant tell you what days they are open but I would recommend you allow at least 2-3 hours to see and read about the various displays.
