Huge, impressive Bhala Fort has been painstakingly restored. It’s a nice pit stop visit as you drive up to Jebel Shams.

Allow at least few hours for a visit. It's huge, beautiful and you will want to stay there to enjoy views. Take notes and read about history before driving there as there is little info available at the fort, however, it's still under restoration. Highly...More

What a contrast to Jabreen Castle. No info on any background or plaques in the rooms. Hot, dusty, limited amount to offer. It’s cheap at 1 Rial for 2

This has been well restored and is absolutely huge. There is plenty to explore with some great views. It is also very quiet as not many people visit it. It could benefit from some more information inside and maybe having a few rooms furnished, which...More
