Nice fort easy walkable from cruise ship port.
BUT beware of ticket office, literally tried & is overcharging visitors. At 0.5 omd he told me $6 usd, their currency comes out little over $1, & trust I made him aware of his dishonesty.
Besides that a lot of different entrances to see displayed old artifacts, definitely worth a visit and to see the roaming goats & sheep close by.

Khasab Castle is definitely worth a visit if you are in Khasab. The castle is beautiful and well-maintained. The exhibits provides a great deal of interesting information on khasab historical and cultural background. The entrance fee is inexpensive, and you can get the tickets at the main entrance.

We booked a tour through this small town and one highlight was the castle. It’s a historic castle which is now build out as a museum. The museum ist not really big, so you could we need 45 minutes to walk thought and we really do not walk very fast, actually the opposite.

But it’s build out with passion and well placed. From the 3 ships in the inner patio to the small exhibition in the central tower. It gives a good insight into the history of this place and who people lives there in ancient times.

So been in the town and have a 1 hour to spent consider to visit this museum.

Rather diminished by the land reclaim and hideous supermarket plonked in front of it. The fort has been well restored and there are a few rooms with bits of Omani history and culture on display. No one there on a Saturday morning.

If you looking for history of oman, come to this beautifully restored fort. To be surprised how basic life was in the past.

The fort is well maintained, has some nice museum style areas and provides good historical background into the area, the geography and the culture.

Well maintained fort, with lots of information about the nature and history of the area. There is a small museum with exhibits of life in Khasab in yesteryears. Worth exploring it all around, also to the top.

A complete feel of a fort. It welcomes you when you enter the town of Khasab and looks glorious at night as much in the daytime.

The ticket is about $1.5.
Parking is free and there are clean toilets inside.

In the Keep, which is the oldest part and main tower, there is a museum which tells alot about the area.
