Visit in the early afternoon and eat some fresh shellfish (sea urchin, oyster) for around 5-7dh each. You can also get grilled fish for a pretty good price. Great experience!

Don’t miss this gritty working fishing harbor, where you will truly see, hear, smell, and if you choose, taste the fish! Complete with squawking sea gulls and hungry cats, there are many players on this stage! We saw crabs, shellfish, and all manner of fish,...More

it was advertised as a port where the fresh fish caugth and offered grilled in small stands near the port. But growing up at a greek fishing village the fish was not even close to fresh or well handeled. true dissapointment

I've been in the port at sunset. Compared to rest of the city which was still sleeping the port was full of life around the docs: boats coming, fish being transported towards the markets, other people were preparing the boats for going back into the...More

You can buy your fish fresh from the fishermen and take it to a restaurant to be cooked... or you can take the traditional photo of the blue boats! Steer clear if you don’t like fishy smells!

I've never see this many fishing boats gathered in one location before, most of them painted a lovely blue colour. A fantastic variety of fish are landed, and on display on the quayside. We also met a shell fisherman with a bucketful of beautiful seashells....More

Very beautiful city south of Casablanca on the Atlantic. Lots of options for staying overnight, and the sea food was oh so good. But the wind was so strong and steady, it made 70 degrees seem cool.

Beautiful city, with a lovely boardwalk and gorgeous sunsets. Windy, and high waves so not ideal for swimming but amazing for surfing. One little con, beaches could be a bit cleaner, but humans have a great love for plastics, and the ocean has a need...More

Not that we could see. My husband says they are dredging-perhaps the first step in this process. Hope they won’t throw out the small fishing boats. Sorry I had not seen this. I think I was away after that.
