The fish market is fine, they are hard core hagglers though so bring your tough talk! Avoid having your fish cooked at the BBQ at the very end of the market - rip offs. We bought a lot of food - whole fish, prawns, sardines,...More

Worst meal ever, was really looking forward to having a nice meal of fresh seafood near pier in Essaouira. We chose our seafood, and they gave us a horrible price. Wanted $50 alone for half pound lobster. So settled for not very much, 3 prawns,...More

This can be found just off the main street of the Medina. You can buy fish from a stall. Next door was a communal eating area served by four independent hole-in-the-wall kitchens where they will cook and serve your fish for you plus chips, salad,...More

By rights this should have been a fantastic experience but I really didn't enjoy my experience or my meal here at all. The fish I ordered was clumsily cooked, poorly prepared and the staff didn't seem to care. It was a great bargain and I...More

Near the port, you can pick you fish and they grill it for you. Go for a hole fish instead of small crustacés (lobster and other small shell fish have less meat and can be expensive). They grilled them perfectly.
