Going to Essaouira’s fish market is like traveling back in time. It is all very authentic and sincere.
Just the fishermen and their fish.
It smells a lot and the ground is wet and dirty, so leave your best shoes at home.
Worth a visit!
Plenty of stalls with many fish all interested in your custom. The actual fish market is by the fishing port with the boats being repaired and fish being gutted and washed ready for sale. the fish stalls are nearby selling fish in the ered fishing...More

Nose plugs and solid shoes recommended. Seriously. Don't go if you have a very sensitive sense of smell and if you do go make sure you wear proper shoes or you will be soaked in stagnant fishy warm water.
