DO NOT BOOK with Top Peak or through Tripadvisor. Despite various confirmations of our booking and tickets being sent to us, no one showed up to collect us from our hotel as stated. Top Peak were not contactable and we were left stranded.

I asked in the hotel i was staying at (Sepilok Nature Resort) about an excursion to the Kinabatangan river so that we could observe wild life. It was a National Geografic like experience.
We got to see wild animals like crocodiles, snakes, monkeys, different kind of birds. Totally worth it. The person that took us there is Mr. Azrien. He drove us to that place and brought us back to the hotel.
It was quite a long drive, but we had nice conversations, and we were able to understand different things related to Malaysia and to Borneo. Mr. Azrien is a very nice young man. If you are looking for an experienced driver, sympathetic, honest and professional, I highly recommend you reach out to him via WhatsApp.

Our trip with Mr Aji and his son Jerry ran like clockwork from start to finish.
We did 3 days and 2 nights and loved it.
The accommodation and food was basic but sufficient and the wildlife spotting opportunities were second to none.
Mr Aji and Jerry are knowledgeable, passionate and expert spotters. We were able to see the Kinabatangan River "Big 5" with their patience and guidance, something I'm sure some of the other boats zooming past will not have managed.
We learned a great deal about how the palm oil plantations are ruining this beautiful and important part of the world for the animals here.
If you want a private tour with multiple spotting excursions and an excellent guide, Mr Aji is your man. Contact him on WhatsApp on +60 13-984 9165.
It was a once in a lifetime trip that has given us memories that will last for a lifetime.

This was the second time for day trip river cruise for my wife, her sister and me. The guide came to pick us up at the location we specified and was keen to look for orangutans in the wild before the river cruise. During the river cruise we saw crocodiles and hornbills, Long North Monkeys and monkeys in the wild. It was disappointing not to see orangutans and elephants in the wild, but the high tea and dinner were delicious and they drove us back to our hotel, despite it being far away. We enjoyed our conversation in the car. I would like to join his tour again next time.

Travelling is one of the enjoyable activities for most of us. One of the crucial things to improve is waiting for completion of Borneo Pan Highway to exceeds the on-road time spending.

Great experience with Top Peak over two days. We did rafting/zip line one day and a private Mt Kinabalu/Poring Hot Springs day. Charles was our guide both days. He was fantastic - knowledgeable, customer oriented, friendly and professional. All communication and logistics with William and Fahmy were outstanding. Because of the good experience we will come back to Borneo to do more touring with Top Peak.

While few details were provided about the activity at time of booking, it turned to be a great experience. We were picked up at the airport at noon and shuttled to the lodge in the Kinabatangan wildlife reserve. There we had two night and two morning cruises, night and day jungle walks and 4 meals per day with free coffee and tea. Chalet was comfortable, staff very friendly and the cruises full of animal sightings. While the whole package is less than 48h long (departure is at 8am) it's still very good value for money and would definitely recommend it.
