The island is pretty good. It is very pretty, but unfortunately there is a lot of rubbish around.
In addition you are charged a fee to keep the area clean. I don't know where that money goes. Maybe it's better not to go on this tour.

Nice beach with clean warm water. It was small but there was no trash or debris on the sand. Kept clean and was enjoyable.

Well worth a visit, boats carrying people over can be a bit lacking in service and timings are not clear but overcome that for a visit to the clearest waters, quietest island out of all of the ones on offer.

Great snorkelling and only a few minutes from the Shangri-La via star marine , cheap as chips for a great mornings swim and snorkel , plenty to see , not as well looked after as I thought it should be considering it’s in a marine park , loads of rubbish in the sea and on the bottom , monkeys come down every now and again and decent sized monitor lizards , well worth a trip , better during the week as less people about , you can buy food and drink on the island too

Went swimming here in May, and my friend and I both emerged with a bad case of a sea lice rash, or “seabather’s eruption”. These are microscopic thimble jellyfish larvae that float in the ocean, get caught in your swimwear, and sting you once you leave the seawater.
Very not fun.
The island itself is just okay. Do not recommend.

Visited soon after Malaysia opened up and it was during fasting month, but the beach was empty. The sea was clear and warm with amazing snorkelling and the beach was very clean. We went with Beach Bums - you can just book a trip and hire snorkel mask etc from them in the booking hall in kk

First you pay the boat fare then you have to pay entrance fee to the island.
You can snorkeling by yourself. My boat operator provide me with the goggles free of charge

How much does it cost to rent a tent?

For camper, the park imposes a small Camping Fee of RM5 (≈US$1.50) for adult and RM2 (≈US$0.60) for child (below 18). Please be informed that you need to pay additional RM50 (≈US$15) to boat operator for next-day pickup. Camping tent (fit 4 people) is available for rent at RM30/day (≈US$9/day) on the island. The island shops close at 4pm, so you better take out your belonging from locker or buy your last-minute supply such as food before they close. You may also call the respective Island Tour management at Jesselton Point Ferry Terminal for further info on latest price. Their boat service can start as early as 7:30am in weekends, but the boat only moves after it’s full with passengers (about 10 to 12 people). If you go in big group, you can negotiate for discount. Their fares are the cheapest so most people use their boat service to visit islands off KK.
i m coming with family n friends 6 of us on the month of august, beside snorkeling, what kind activities can we do as a day trip at sapi island.
thx
