Kota Kinabalu is not lacking in shopping malls and Warisan Square is right at downtown. It is a literally dead place now with vacant floors and scary staircases. I doubt if tourists will get inside.

It looked impressive from outside but inside was a series of very low level street food restaurants and frankly they did not look too good. Go elsewhere.

Hopeless selection of food other than cakes - most Starbucks offer oatmeal, etc. Staff were disinterested and made little effort to get credit card to work. Coffee weak but staff gave extra shot without any fuss. Toilet upstairs - really cost it its rating - dirty, no soap or hand towels. A disgrace really

Visited this mall on 11 Sept because I wanted to go to secret recipe for coffee. I must warn you that this mall never fail to surprise me. It keeps on getting worse and worse and today the lift is not working (guest lift not the hotel lift) -not only 1, but ALL 3...and everyone was forced to take the staircase. The staircase is a nightmare, smell like you are trapped in sewerage treatment plant. Obviously it was never maintained, human pee everywhere. And I bet the mall will never improve because the developer had already wound up (bankrupt) and ran away. Only ground floor occupied (partially) the rest, if not office...mostly probably already haunted. It's just a luck that this mall is situated at the strategic location, so many boutique hotels here.

Like the all the other reviews, there was really nothing much in this mall. Saw a couple of handicrafts stalls.

Something in the past definitely.

I liked to wander in local area and downtown, so I walked this area and saw local atmosphere. I knew lately this area was Warisan Squeare. This area was located near Philipino market, sea, waterfront and night market. There was nothing to enjoy attraction, but good to know native atmosphere, I think.

Passed through Warisan Square looking for a local luggage vendor ( our luggage had been destroyed by Air Asia), when were advised to try Warisan Square but found the selection of stores limited. And the square seemed run down, past its prime.

If you're looking for a place to shop in Kota Kinabalu, here is your destination. However, most likelly you will get dissapointed. Apparently this place was quite revolutionary when it was newly open, now nothing exciting really apart from a standard quality experience of an air-conditioned mall.
