We were determined to take this trail as many reviews said it's the best trail around here. The jungle hike had no views, nothing to see at all. Just hiking.. it was interesting and a bit challenging but just that - a jungle hike. We...More

This hike just wasn’t worth the effort for me. I think there are probably a lot better hikes around to spend time doing. It’s a difficult trail to follow, I recommend a GPS app to make sure you’re on track. The trail is officially closed...More

We don't ever do any hikes or trekking, we wanted to try this as everyone who visits Cameron Highlands recommends trekking and trail no.1 is said to be a good place to start. We're both young (23) and fit, but not trained for walking. We...More

Officially, this trail (and the Mossy Forest) is closed until at least the 31st of January 2018. Though if you're adventurous, it's still a good way to spend a morning. The most difficult part was finding the actual trail, because the official entrance seems to...More

As mentioned in many reviews, the old trail 1 is really closed. BUT there is a new trail no.1 starting just a few hundred meters down the road from the start of the former trail (walking up the small road from Brinchang, after passing by...More

Its really closed. We tried the walkaround of the barrier as described in a comment below, but the problem is, that nature meanwhile took the path back. U can still see it but its in really bad shape. You have to be hardcore to do...More

We stayed in the camp ground. Very basic. The bathrooms are not for the faint hearted. The campground was reasonably clean as our fellow campers were clean and tidy people. We were told however that this is not always the case as some people completely...More

This trail is currently closed. Same for trail 10. Don't come to the Cameron Highlands for the hiking. The smaller hikes, like Mossy Forest for example are nothing special to be honest.

No. You just take a taxi to the start of the hike. It is off the main road. From there it's fairly well sign posted. No one worries about grids on these hikes.
