- Footprints56114295 contributionsDIY skycabSuperb view of the island . Check the weather before you go up if you can see the skycab it should be ok . We used a grab cab and it cost us 4 MLR from Hotel Danna. We went at 10 am . There was no queueing for tickets or the ride up . However if you had to queue for tickets at the start and the queue was long it would have been very hot at the base. Perhaps we were lucky on the numbers of people as it is Ramadan . The views were absolutely stunning . To do the sky bridge is 6MLR extra and you can pay for that when you are up there. Steps are quite steep and could be an issue to those not very mobile. You can use cash or card Grab cab for return - again 4MLR . Doing the skycab is easy to do it for yourselvesVisited March 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten March 25, 2023
- Judith KPukekohe, New Zealand328 contributionsSpectacuuular!Amazing views, operated as always by calm but efficient workers. The views need to be seen to be believed - sea views, island views, forest views. 360 degrees. A nice restaurant and chilled glass of wine at the top would enhance this excursion.Visited April 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten April 13, 2023
- NotquiteoverthehillNewcastle, Australia51 contributionsFantastic ViewsThe Skycab, Sky Glide and Sky Bridge are amazing. Well worth the visit. Weekends are the busiest, with long waits. We went on a tuesday about 1030 and walked straight onto the cable car. There are food shops at the top and there is a fence with heart locks that you can attach your own to.Visited June 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten June 12, 2023
- Hwei O32 contributionsGet the express passGreat views up, except it was cloudy at the top so we didn’t get to see the full panoramic view of Langkawi. Was very busy and would recommend getting an express pass to avoid the long queues. We didn’t realise the 3D art place was included in our pass, but they still allowed us to visit that the following day which was good of them.Visited July 2023Traveled with familyWritten July 2, 2023
- Daniel PCoalville, United Kingdom104 contributionsStunning views from awesome cable carGreat experience with great views of Langkawi. We got express tickets. The only thing we had to wait for was the skyglide to the bridge. We had to wait a while at the top for clouds to clear but it was worth it. Would recommend the 360 gondola as it was nice and cooling when moving.Visited August 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten August 8, 2023
- May LIpoh, Malaysia5 contributionsOne of the places worth going every yearWorth going as it was the highlight of the day. Was advised not to book online early due to unpredictable weather. My elderly mum went as there was glide cab (extra charge) and queue was not that bad. All in all, Oriental village, views up there - superb!Visited August 2023Traveled with familyWritten September 1, 2023
- LibertyLLLondon, United Kingdom107 contributionsFantastic day out! There is a reason this is the number one Thing to Do in Langkawi. The Sky cab sits high up above the mountains on the north west side of the island was was very close to our hotel. We pre-booked and selected the new 360 sky cable cars,, which effectively meant we had the cable car to ourselves the entire time as it seemed few others booked them. Thankfully, it didn’t rain so we were able to take in the stunning views. It was very busy during our trip and it was wonderful to see that it was a spot for both local and international tourists. We had a good walk round, taking too many selfies. Do not miss the 3D art gallery as that was awesome. We didn’t go on the bridge or sky glide as the queues were rather long and we didn’t fancy a long walk - the rain was also threatening at this point - but if you can, don’t miss these.Visited August 2023Traveled with familyWritten September 22, 2023
- Haytham Abu FirasQatar14,444 contributionsSkyCabPanorama Langkawi is one part out of four while visiting this place. Cable car or Telefrek 2 ways with a junction stop at the middle. You can continue to the SkyWalk on feet or use elevator for extra charges. The first part will let you see beautiful Langkawi from the top. Many beautiful trees, faunas and monkeys. Don’t forget to take a picture with the head of the eagle. Continue walk is not easy for elders and children. The steps are not even and a bit risky.Visited September 2023Traveled with friendsWritten September 28, 2023
- BridstowPeterborough, United Kingdom903 contributionsIncredible viewsWe enjoyed our visit to the sky bridge despite the changing weather from clear skies to overcast and misty. The ascent / descent in the cable car is rapid and offers fantastic panoramic views of the surrounding areas. With good visibility you can see for kilometres / miles around. The sky bridge may not be for those of a nervous disposition or fear of heights but we would recommend giving it a go. Our visit entailed taking the cable car to the main stopping point, then walking down the many steps to the sky bridge to beat the queue for the furnicular rail car. Having spent time in the bridge enjoying the views we did take the rail car back up. From there we took the steps up to the other vantage points but by then the clouds had closed in. Regardless of this we enjoyed the experience. We couldn’t see any advantage in paying for the VIP experience. As there were only two of us we found that we got called forward to fill places in a cable car to ensure they were full (they seated six).Visited September 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten October 10, 2023
- travelmaven_7Los Angeles, California3,860 contributionsHighly recommended for a visit to LangkawiVisiting the Skybridge was at the top of my "things to do" list while visiting Langkawi. I took Grab there from my hotel. It was about a 30-minute ride. It was about a 15-minute walk through the village to get to the entrance. There were no lines. I bought my ticket, and within minutes, I was in a gondola up to the top. I want to note that the Skycab ride payment is only for the Skycab. Once you get to the top, you have to pay another fee to get to the Skybridge. I mistakenly got off at mid-station. I took some pictures of the views and got back on to the top. I thought it was going yo be a short walk to the Skybridge. But later found out you have to pay a separate fee to go down to the Skybridge in either a funicular, which they call a Skyglide, or walk down 334 steps. I chose to walk. It was a nice walk in the rainforest. It was cool because it had been raining lightly. The Skybridge was great, and the views were magnificent. I highly recommend this activity. There is a lot of walking involved once you get to the top.Visited November 2023Traveled soloWritten November 13, 2023

Good views, well organised to not too busy. 3d display was only ok. Chinese village is mostly shut. We spent about 3 hours on the skywalk experience

Very beautiful place, and very nice view.
We can see the beauty of Langkawi from the bridge. It’s a must visit place. Cable car Journey was also good and thrilling.

It’s billed as the “steepest” in the world. It’s not the highest or the longest, but the steepest at the very end. I wonder how they measure the steepness?
Anyway, it takes you up a mountain to views of Langkawi and even some of Thailands islands.
There’s a restaurant with plenty of shops and places to walk.
There is a platform at the top where you’ll be able to walk all the way out and back, but it’s not opened yet.
Otherwise, it’s a decent tourist destination. Not too many people. A decent way to spend a morning or afternoon.

A really enjoyable couple of hours. The scenery is spectacular.
If you’re going to climb stairs you will need to be fit, there is a carriage that can help you get back from the sky bridge.
All in all enjoyable.

Beautiful scenery, well worth the cost. The sky ride itself is modern, clean and well maintained. I would highly recommend this excursion.

Really cool experience, and a must do when visiting Langkawi. Be sure to bring a jacket, as it was quite chilly at the top of the mountain. Be aware, if windy, the gondolas may not operate.

We read reviews before we went, and weren’t sure what to think but was awesome. We decided to go mid afternoon as some had said very long queues in the morning. Got there at 2pm, almost no queue. Bought sky car and sky walk tickets at the bottom, walked almost straight on to a gondola, no need to pay for express. They do take water bottles off you - unsure why but we had our drinks in our bag and walked straight through.
Not sure why others are confused by signage - you get off at mid station, can look at the views then get back on to go to the top. Views stunning. Had an icecream at the top, walked round then headed to the sky bridge. Here there were some queues for the sky glide - the train that goes down to the bridge. We decided not to pay extra for it and walked down (they call it a nature walk). It’s steps down - and they aren’t particularly well maintained but we did it in flip flops no problem. It’s a very short walk. Sky bridge was amazing - then we retraced our steps back up to the gondola. Steps were no problem for us going up, very short - but we are a fit family. Plenty of others walking it and taking their time. Waited no more than a few minutes to get back down on the gondola.
I’d say definitely go later in the day if you can

The cable car experience itself was good , however the waiting is very long ( about 30-45 mins ) if you don’t buy the express lane . Great view and it’s worth a try

May I know how much does it cost to purchase an adult ticket for the sky cab and the sky bridge directly from the sales counter? And is there parking available for cars?

We were there last week, it cost 135 RM for 2 adults and one 9 year old child, we payed st the main entry. This only gets you to the top of the cable car, you then need to pay cash only at he top to get onto the bridge, 40 RM for the 3 of us, we thought this was a bit strange as they don’t tell you at the bottom, so take cash. We caught a Grab so not sure about parking sorry.
