Worth a look
It’s clean and everything was powered, so it’s okay to eat (i think). We didn’t have any issues. Parking it tricky and suggest walking.

We weren't sure what to expect from this market but honestly it is worth a trip!! It is more of a food market but with a big selection of various foods from French fries, kebabs, fried rice, donuts, fruit juice etc. All amazing quality and very clean.
Only downside was that there is a lack of bins if you are eating whilst at the market but not a big deal!

Went to the night market in Kuah. Comes on a wednesday and a friday. Loads of food options. Stall holders are friendly and polite. Noone trying to force anything on you. Not much in the way of clothes etc so dont expect that. Food is very cheap so you can try lots of different stuff.

Wednesday evening night market is a definite to add onto your schedule when visiting Langkowai. Local atmosphere, cheap prices on both food and drinks mostly cooked to order while you wait

What a highlight. Loved the local food and seeing all the dishes. Most stall holders can speak a little English to help you work out what is in the dish.

Only open on Wednesdays and Saturdays in Kuah.This is so far the best night market I have seen in Malaysia.It is small but you can find everything from food to drink through clothes. Do not miss it if you are around. This is super cheap as well.

One of the best night markets in Langkawi. Cheap and tasty food. Lots of variety. Some clothes stalls too.

The night market moves around the island and I was lucky enough it was just down the road from where I was staying . Delicious food on offer and the hustle and bustle of all the locals coming to get their dinner or stock up on their provisions was awesome to be a part of . Definitely worth a visit

Most vendors are cooking their dishes on site so you can be sure they are fresh. In Kuah the market held on Wednesdays and Saturdays next to Goldsands hotel gives an opportunity to savour Malesian food on a wider authentic range than in restaurants. Whole durians are taken apart in front of customers to taste, usually they are not allowed in hotels for the strong, but not bad smell. There is a seating area over the stalls too.

We were in Pantai Chenang and went to the night market there, wouldn't bother it was generally the same stuff as any shop along the street and believe most stalls would have been run by those shops. You can get as good a bargains anytime by just shopping along the street.

Sun = Padang matsirat
Mon = Ulu melaka
Wed + Sat = Kuah
Tue = Kedawang
Thur = Temoyong in Cenang
Fri = Air hangat
Nights markets in Padang matsirat (Sun) and Kuah (Sat) are somewhat similar in terms of size. Since you are staying in Cenang, I would suggest you to go over the night market in Padang matsirat.
All night markets begin their operations around 5.30pm, where the crowd usually comes in around 6.15-7.45pm. You can avoid the peak period since it only takes around 40 mins to visit every stall.
After 9pm, most stalls will provide discount since they are going to close their stalls, and their foods could be not that good in quality.
By the way, they won't open their stalls during the raining evening as stated in the previous reply by Jim T.
