A good place to look as a museum but overpriced art work. Go to the market instead and buy great art and carving and fabrics for a fraction of the price. Since none of these artists are world renowned, it really does not matter whose...More

Hereabouts I agree with a former commentator, that varied and interesting places are few and far in between. The La Caverna Art Gallery has a large collection of local Malawian art and memorablia from times past. It's nearest rival in the literal and metaphorical sense...More

Good art. Great atmosphere. Malawi is definitely the best place this gallery to be. Lovely surrounding areas and loss to do in the immediate area.

Situated in the oldest house in Blantyre, this is a lovely shop with a great selection of wooden carvings, original paintings, locally produced beauty products, etc. I particularly loved the old maps of Malawi. There is ample parking and the garden area is magnificent.

Nice collection of paintings and wood carvings. Quality is very good. Most items are for sale. Prices are steep, but the quality is much better than most craft and art shops.

Lovely collection of art by local artists. Historic house setting, with nice grounds and cafe. Pity it's open only on weekdays and Saturday mornings.

Where good and interesting places are few and far in between, visit them! The La Caverna Art Gallery and their accompanying restaurant in Blantyre is one of them. They have a large collection of local Malawian art (not cheap) and memorablia from older times. As...More

This is a charming and peaceful oasis near the center of Blantyre. The compassionate owner has turned a piece of Malawian history into a library and gallery and garden and café. The gallery promotes local artists in many different crafts. One room gives an historical...More
